Housebuilder’s Final Chances In Loggerheads And Middleton

Posted 11 April 2022 by Keith Osborne

Elan Homes is offering a last chance for buyers at two of its popular Staffordshire and Great Manchester sites...

House-hunters in Staffordshire and Greater Manchester have final opportunities to purchase a property from Elan Homes as two of its current developments are nearly sold out.

Sellers could be just 24 hours away from becoming buyers and securing one of the final new homes at Brook Meadow in the Staffordshire village of Loggerheads. Both are four-bedroom detached designs – an ‘Alston’, priced from £309,995 and a ‘Healey’ style property available from £341,995.

With the homebuilder’s EasyMove service they won’t have to worry about finding an agent to market their current property as Elan will arrange valuations, appoint an agent and manage the process on the customer’s behalf.

Elan regional sales director Marie Morris explained: “EasyMove is designed to do exactly what the name suggests – it allows people to enjoy an easy move from the house they’ve outgrown, has become too big for them once their children have moved out or simply no longer fits their lifestyle needs. Because we manage the whole process, from appointing the agent to dealing with the chain it removes some of the more challenging and time-consuming elements of selling a property.

“One customer who used the scheme recently secured a buyer within 24 hours of their old property being listed and at £5,000 above the asking price. This demonstrates that the agents we work with know the local market and are able to secure the best price for sellers. Plus, an added bonus of selling in this way is that we’ll pay the agent’s fees. It’s particularly prudent now that we have just two homes available at Brook Meadow.”

The ‘Alston’ boasts a dual-aspect, open-plan kitchen, dining and family room that spans from the front to the rear of the property, with French doors opening out onto the garden. The adjoining lounge also leads out onto the garden, helping make the most of the outside space. A cloakroom completes the ground floor. In the ‘Healey’, the lounge is at the front, with an expansive combined kitchen, dining and family room at the rear of the property. It benefits the addition of a utility, along with a cloakroom. Upstairs in both properties the main bedroom benefits an en suite.

Brook Meadow is in a delightful village setting, while still being close to the busy towns of Market Drayton and Newcastle-under-Lyme. There’s plenty of green space around the development, and the village has a wealth of amenities, including a village shop, post office and school.

Marie Morris said: “Our show homes are beautifully thought out and styled with the latest trends in mind, along with the practicalities of busy family life. That makes them almost perfect homes for fortunate buyers, stylishly and wonderfully decorated and, with many fixtures and fittings included, just ready to move into.

“The show homes are the only remaining homes at Millfields which has sold particularly well and quickly, which is not surprising given its outstanding location. Middleton is a thriving town with all the amenities any homeowner would want, or need, close by. Situated on Boothroyden Road, close to the River Irk, it’s also within easy reach of Manchester for those who need to commute to work, or for those who want that proximity to the cultural and leisure benefits of a big city.”

The four-bedroom detached, double-fronted ‘Brandon’ is priced at £374,995 and features a spacious lounge stretching from the front to the rear of the house, styled with cloud-patterned feature wallpaper, and mirroring this, on the opposite side of the hall, is an expansive kitchen, dining, and family room. There’s also a cloakroom and utility room, for which the practicality has been enhanced by a very useful drying rail. Upstairs, there are two large bedrooms overlooking the front garden, including the main bedroom featuring an en suite, while to the rear are two further bedrooms plus the family bathroom. One of the bedrooms has been designed with a sweet shop in mind, complete with candy-striped wallpaper and artwork made with real sweets, and mini bunting, while another has been tram-inspired because of Middleton’s great transport links to Manchester.

The three-bedroom semi-detached ‘Howden’, at £249,995, has been styled in luxurious blue and gold, with a welcoming hallway off which is a kitchen and convenient cloakroom, while at the rear of the house is a spacious lounge and dining area with French doors leading to the garden. Upstairs are three good-sized bedrooms, all uniquely decorated, and a family bathroom.
