Over 80% Sold At Burton-On-Trent Site
David Wilson Homes, part of WhatHouse? Housebuilder of the Year Barratt Developments, is reporting over 80% of the homes are sold at its Shepherd’s Rest development in Burton-on-Trent, Staffordshire.
Rachael Harrison, sales director at David Wilson Homes East Midlands, said: “The homes at Shepherd’s Rest are ideal for a variety of homebuyers and, since it first launched, the development has sparked a lot of interest among home seekers in the area. With our fantastic offers available on selected homes, we are expecting the remaining properties to be swept off the market soon.
“An excellent location awaits new members of this growing community and all would-be buyers are sure to find something to suit their needs.”
Prices start at £259,995 for a newly released three-bedroom ‘Hadley’ house type, and there’s a real variety of four-bedroom properties from £284,995 to £373,995, many of which have things like kitchen and flooring upgrades included. Selected plots even have the offer of contributions to mortgage payments and moving costs.
On all David Wilson Homes properties, NHS workers will receive a 5% deposit contribution from the housebuilder, up to £15,000.
‘The Layton’ four-bedroom house type on Plot 67 is the current Home of the Week at £373,995 and comes with thousands of pounds-worth of upgrades and financial incentives.
There has been interest from first-time buyers, downsizers and those looking for more space to establish a ‘forever home’ can all find their perfect property. Location has been a key – the development is situated within easy reach of the surrounding towns and cities, plus it overlooks Burton, offering panoramic views of the town while still retaining its rural feel.
At the same time, it is only 30 minutes to Birmingham from the station in the town centre, which is a half-hour walk or eight-minute car journey away. The delightful, historic towns of Buxton and Bakewell are under an hour away in the heart of the Peak District.
