House-hunters in Tyne & Wear are being invited by David Wilson Homes to book an appointment at the new sales office at its Meadow Hill development in the village of Throckley, opening its doors for the first time on Saturday 25 June.

It will be a first opportunity for would-be purchasers to come and speak face-to-face with a sales team on the site, where a collection on three- and four-bedroom homes will provide something to suit a range of buyers and budgets. Prices on the first releases will be unveiled at the event.

Throckley is on the western fringes of Newcastle upon Tyne and just four miles south of Ponteland, a well-served town which provides a good selection of shops, amenities and places to each and drink.

Throckley itself as its own shops and food outlets and – a real boon to young families – Meadow Hill is within walking distance of Ofsted 'Outstanding'-rated Throckley Primary School. For journeys further afield, both the A69 and A1 are within a few minutes’ drive

Among the initial four-bedroom releases is the ‘Linnet’. This is a double-fronted detached house with a single garage and parking for two cars. The open-plan kitchen/dining/family room has a feature glazed bay with French doors to the garden. The utility room has its own door to the outside, meaning muddy boots and paws don’t have to spoil the living space’s floor. Also downstairs are a dual-aspect lounge and a cloakroom of the hallway. Three of the four bedrooms are doubles, with bedroom one having the benefit of an en suite shower room. The others can share the family bathroom.

Another option will be the ‘Bradgate’, another spacious detached house. The heart of the home is the open-plan kitchen/dining/family room, which stretches the full width of the home at the rear, with French doors from the glazed by to the rear garden. Off the hallway are a WC, understairs storage, a living room and a dedicated study. Upstairs are the family bathroom and four generously sized double bedrooms, one of them having an en suite shower room.
