Housebuilder’s Black Friday Deals In The North East
Posted 24 November 2022 by
Keith OsborneBlack Friday has become a landmark date for some massive bargain deals and David Wilson Homes – part of the Barratt Developments group which recently won a prestigious WhatHouse? Award – is offering a host of deals at developments in County Durham and Tyne & Wear – but buyers will have to be quick as these offers are for a limited time only (subject to terms and conditions).
Until 28 November, on selected plots, buyers will require a reservation fee of just £250 and get up to £15,000 towards your bills and £2,000 John Lewis shopping vouchers.
Highgrove at Wynyard Park is a collection of three- and four-bedroom houses close to Stockton-on-Tees. Starting prices currently range from £238,995 to £374,995. Everyone can enjoy walks at Wynyard Woodland Park and Wynyard Hall Hotel, Spa & Golf Club is just a short drive away. Family buyers with younger children will be drawn by being in catchment area of Ofsted-rated 'Outstanding' Wynyard Primary School. There’s a great offer on Plot 227, the ‘Hollinwood’. This four-bedroom detached house, priced at £359,995.
The Orchard at West Park in Darlington. For eligible buyers, there are a couple of three-bedroom homes here which are available to part buy-part rent thanks to the Home Reach scheme, with prices starting at £104,995 (a 50% share based on a full market price of £209,995). However, the Black Friday deal is available on open market homes here, a development, close to the ton centre, good schools and the A1(M). Our favourite here is the ‘Kirkdale’ on Plot 420. Priced from £336,500, this detached house has four double bedrooms, spacious open-plan kitchen/dining/family room and single garage with private driveway.
The four- and five-bedroom homes at popular Elwick Gardens have starting prices ranging from £329,995 to £474,995. Residents are with easy reach of the shops and amenities of Hartlepool town centre and Marina, the coast and the A19. It’s also in catchment area of Ofsted-rated 'Good' West Park & Throston Primary Schools. Plot 65, the ‘Bradgate’, is available with a Black Friday deal. It’s a sizeable, detached home priced from £339,995 and it comes with £5,000 worth of kitchen upgrades. It has a large kitchen/dining/family room with a feature glazed bay, a dedicated study, four double bedrooms (one en suite) and a detached garage.
‘Winstone’ house type
Located in the coastal village of Ryhope, south of Sunderland, Cherry Tree Park offers a number of four-bedroom houses, with prices ranging from £349,995 to £469,995. Commuters to the likes of Durham and Newcastle will enjoy the natural surroundings combined with a speedy connection to these cities. There are a host of offers on the properties here, some of which are ready to move into. Part Exchange is offered on some plots. Our choice here is Plot 96. This is the ‘Winstone’ house type, priced from £469,995, which offers very generous living space and a detached double garage. The hub of this home is a kitchen/family room but there’s also a separate lounge and a dining room. Space and luxury extends upstairs – bedroom one comes with en suite bathroom and dressing room and bedroom two also has an en suite. The other two double bedrooms share the family bathroom. A lucky buyer could move in by Christmas.
Not far from here is the recently launched Doxford Green development, with an initial release of four-bedroom homes and more four-and five-bedroom executive houses to come later. There’s a ‘Good’ rated primary school under a mile away and for older students, the University of Sunderland is not far away either. There’s another ‘Kirkdale’ house type with a great offer here [] but our favourite house type is the ‘Millford’ on Plot 5 priced from £354,995 and coming with a south-facing garden and a integrated garage. There’s a useful utility room of the kitchen/dining room and a lounge with bay window. Of the four double bedrooms, the largest also benefits from an en suite shower room.
Four- and five-bedroom houses can also be found at Meadow Hill. The starting prices at this development just outside Hartlepool are between £329,995 to £474,995 and Part Exchange is available on a number of plots here. There’s a Black Friday deal on the ‘Bradgate’, from £339,885, but our top choice here is the ‘Chelworth’ at £424,995. This double-fronted house type offers flexible living thanks to its kitchen/family room, a separate dining room, a lounge and a study on the ground floor, and four double bedrooms and bathroom. There’s a double garage and private driveway outside.
