Armed Forces Offer At Tamworth Development
Now over 50% sold on the current phase of its Dunstall Park development, David Wilson Homes is reminding Armed Forces personnel of the financial support available at the Tamworth development.
The housebuilder’s 5% contribution is worth up to £15,000 and is available to all UK Armed Forces personnel who are currently employed by the Army, Navy or RAF, or who have left in the past 12 months. For example, a property priced at £200,000 would qualify for a deposit contribution of £10,000 as a boost for personnel wanting to find their perfect fit in a home.
Dunstall Park has been a hot ticket for Staffordshire homebuyers and members of the Mercian Regiment are best placed to make the most of the scheme, with DMS Whittington based just over five miles from the Ventura Park Road community.
The support in raising a deposit will be a welcome boost for those taking the first step on the property ladder, as research from Nationwide Building Society suggests the average first-time buyer needs to save more than a year’s salary for a house deposit. This is largely due to a 20% deposit on a home now equating to 104% of annual pre-tax income of the average worker.
Rachael Harrison, sales director at David Wilson Homes East Midlands, said: “Our Armed Forces deposit contribution scheme is still available to those looking to make a move in Tamworth, with excellent access to DMS Whittington available.
“We do our best to support members of the Armed Forces and, as we’re now over 50% sold on our current phase at Dunstall Park, we’d like to remind those eligible for the scheme that the support is available.”
Parent company, Barratt Developments, is a proud supporter of the Armed Forces and has attracted over 70 veterans into its business through its Armed Forces Transition Programme over the past two years. It also has a long-standing partnership with Royal British Legion Industries (RBLI), supporting the charity in confronting the challenges of veteran homelessness. The partnership delivers new homes, mental health support and jobs for ex-Armed Forces personnel.
Dunstall Park is a property hotpot for commuters in Tamworth due to excellent connections via the M42, M6 Toll and A38, whilst London Euston Station is also comfortably accessible from Tamworth train station.
There is currently a selection of three- and four-bedroom properties available from David Wilson Homes at Dunstall Park with prices starting from £339,995.
Barratt Homes also has homes for sale at Dunstall Park from £264,995. Find out more here.
