A housing development from Davidsons Homes located on the edge of Rugby is nearing completion after three years of building work, with just a few homes still available at its neighbouring site.

Dollman Meadow was the first to welcome residents on the former Rugby Radio Station site becoming the new village of Houlton. This will eventually comprise around 6,000 homes.

Construction started on the 104-home Dollman Meadow development in October 2016, with the first buyers moving in in December 2017, and three years on the finishing touches are now being made the final few properties are due to be completed and occupied this month.

In addition to the range of three-, four- and five-bedroom homes at Dollman Meadow, Davidsons Homes is also building 154 homes at its adjacent development, Houlton View, 140 of which have already sold. A selection of three- and four-bedroom homes are currently available to purchase here, with prices starting at £292,995.

Dollman MeadowSimon Tyler, sales director at Davidsons Homes South Midlands, said: “As the first housebuilder to deliver homes for this exciting new community, we are extremely proud of the new neighbourhood which has been created at Dollman Meadow.

“With plans approved for a further 27 homes on our third parcel of land, and planning approval for a further 43 homes expected shortly, we are committed to building in Houlton until at least 2022, and look forward to continuing to be a part of this growing community.”

In addition to bringing much-needed homes to Rugby, Houlton is also set to include three new primary schools and a secondary school, as well as areas of public open space, and sports and community facilities.
