Dandara’s new show home has just launched at Wingfield Place in the seaside town of Deal in Kent.

Filled with coastal charm, the Wingfield has a light and airy décor inspired by the beaches and historic castles of the Kent coastline and even boasts its own garden beach hut.

Designed in a colour palette of soft green and neutral tones, the show home at Wingfield Place has wowed visitors to the development, according to Louise Norman, sales and marketing director at Dandara South East.

Louise says: “Everyone who has visited has fallen in love with the Wingfield and the beach hut, we have had lots of requests from potential buyers to have one added to their property! It might not have a sea view but it is the perfect place to relax with a book or store beach umbrellas and deck chairs. The designers have really captured the spirit of the seaside in this show home, with lots of surprising little nods to coastal décor with lamps with rope bases and sailor’s knot accessories. We wanted to give buyers a real flavour of life in Deal, which is such a lovely place to live with incredible scenery and heritage. It’s no surprise to us it was recently named the ‘most charming’ seaside town in the UK by Travel and Leisure – it has so much to offer with lovely places to eat and things to see and do. It’s just two hours from London but feels worlds away.”

Kitchen/living/dining room

The open plan living/kitchen and dining room features French doors leading to the garden. The soft grey corner sofa is made for evenings spent relaxing and spending time with the family and looks fantastic against soft sage patterned feature wallpaper and washed, driftwood style floors. Dark green velvet cushions add to the understated luxury of the space.

The kitchen features taupe units and a reclaimed rustic wooden table. There’s also a cloakroom and two storage cupboards on the ground floor.

Main bedroom

Upstairs, the main bedroom is a calm, serene place to relax after a busy day and features a beautiful four poster bed, filmy white curtains and soothing bedlinens in soft sand and sage green shades. Coastal prints and shell accessories anchor the design scheme.

Second bedroom

The second bedroom is decorated in soft shades of dusky pink with sage accents and cream bedding, creating a warm, welcoming sleep space. Young knights will love the kid’s bedroom where they can escape into a world of adventure with a castle bed with ramparts and play dungeon underneath.

Beach hut

Equally eye-catching is the pretty teal and white striped beach hut, which is a real focal point of the beautifully landscaped garden.

Wingfield Place will feature 62 two-, three- and four-bedroom private homes when complete, just a five minute drive from the beach and pier. Located off Freemen’s Way, the development will include a football pitch and clubhouse.

Surrounded by quiet villages and historic attractions, Deal has all the advantages of coastal living whilst still offering plenty of local restaurants, bars, cafes and independent shops. With a lively art scene there are galleries, exhibitions and museums to explore and festivals and cultural activities to enjoy. Those who love sports will be spoilt for choice with Prince’s Golf Club and the Royal St George’s Golf Club just a short drive away.

For families there is an excellent choice of Ofsted-rated ‘Outstanding’ and ‘Good’ schools close by, and for some weekend fun there is Deal Castle, one of the finest Tudor castles in England to explore. The iconic Dover Castle, which was at the centre of the effort to evacuate hundreds of thousands of Allied troops from the beach of Dunkirk, is also a short drive away. Also nearby is Wingham Wildlife Park where visitors can see lots of different animals including tigers, flamingos, bats and even a red panda.

The development is just 15 minutes’ drive from the A256 connecting with the A2 for journeys to Canterbury and London, via the M2 motorway. Deal train station also offers regular services to Folkestone, Ramsgate, Dover and London Waterloo East and London Charing Cross can be reached in under two hours.
