Show Home Unveiled In Hemyock

Keith OsborneA ribbon cutting ceremony has marked the opening of Cavanna Homes’ newest show home at Oak Mount in the Devon village of Hemyock.
Hemyock’s Parish Council chairman, Cllr Paul Doble, performed the opening. He said: “We are pleased to see this development is offering a good range of open market and affordable houses, and the Parish Council looks forward to receiving the three hectares of community land for new and existing residents of Hemyock to enjoy."
The show home, a detached ‘Hockinston’ style house, has four bedrooms, an open-plan kitchen/dining area, convenient utility room, downstairs study, allocated parking and showcases the firm’s highest specification fixtures and fittings.
Janine Dixon, sales advisor at Oak Mount said: “It’s brilliant to have officially launched the new show home and we’re looking forward to showing prospective buyers around. We’ve already secured five reservations off-plan, which shows a real appetite for these new homes in Hemyock.”
Oak Mount is a development of 40 new energy-efficient three- and four-bedroom homes designed to be sympathetic to local character and history.
Each of the new homes will be served by an air source heat pump which will provide a low-carbon heating alternative to gas. Heat pumps absorb heat from the outside air and circulate it through the heating system to heat the home. Upon completion, homeowners will receive a full home demo which will include advice and information about using and maintaining their heat pump to ensure maximum efficiency.
