Shared Ownership Roadshow Comes To Alrewas

Posted 30 September 2021 by Keith Osborne

House-hunters in Staffordshire are welcome to learn more about the affordable homes initiative at an event this weekend...

Leading housing association Bromford is hosting a roadshow event for property seekers in Lichfield and the surrounding areas at Alrewas Village Hall on Saturday 2 October.

Interested homebuyers are invited to learn all about Shared Ownership, with members of the Bromford team on hand to ‘myth bust’ about the scheme, explain all the benefits and answer any questions.

Shared Ownership gives those who do not currently own a property the chance to secure a new build home with Bromford. Homebuyers pay a mortgage on the share they own and pay rent on the remaining share, meaning only a smaller deposit is required.

Bromford has a range of brand-new two and three-bedroom homes across four developments situated in Lichfield, Burntwood and Alrewas. The properties are available through Shared Ownership, from a 25% share value (subject to terms and conditions).

In Alrewas, the housing association has two developments – Woodlands and Green Acres. Homes at Woodlands, on Anson Road, start at £88,000, and at Green Acres, on Dark Lane, start at £100,000.

On Claypit Lane in Lichfield, the Bower Park development has homes available from £106,000. In Burntwood, on Mount Road, Sutton Rise has properties starting from £92,000.

Claire Richardson, sales manager at Bromford for Woodlands and Sutton Rise, said: “We are thrilled to be hosting this roadshow event in Alrewas for the local community and property seekers to attend. There are many misconceptions about Shared Ownership, what the scheme entails and how it works. We understand that people who haven’t used the scheme before may need more guidance, and at Bromford we’re here to answer all your queries and provide you with all the support you need.”

Karen Adams, sales manager at Bromford for Bower Park and Green Acres, commented: “We have a range of wonderful Shared Ownership homes available for property seekers in Lichfield and the surrounding areas, which are more than ideal for first-time buyers, growing families and downsizers alike.

“We’re very much looking forward to our roadshow event at Alrewas Village Hall, and can’t wait to share all our Shared Ownership knowledge with the Lichfield community!”
