Shared Ownership Event In Tewkesbury In July
New homes provider Bromford is hosting a Shared Ownership event for property seekers in Tewkesbury and the surrounding areas at its head office on Shannon Way on Saturday 1 July.
Those looking for a new home will learn all about Shared Ownership, with members of the Bromford team and external experts on hand to offer advice and guidance around the scheme and fulfil any queries prospective homebuyers may have.
As well as insight from Bromford’s Existing Homes team, the event will provide home seekers with advice from solicitors and financial advisors, with panels being set-up to talk to those interested in purchasing a property about how to do so, the concept of Bromford Shared Ownership and how to staircase thereafter to owning 100% of their home.
Shared Ownership gives those who do not currently own a property the chance to secure a new build home with Bromford. Homebuyers pay a mortgage on the share they own and pay rent on the remaining share, meaning only a smaller deposit is required.
Bromford has a range of brand new two- and three-bedroom homes across multiple developments across Gloucestershire, which are available through Shared Ownership, with share values ranging between 25% and 75%.
Around Tewkesbury, there are Bromford developments where Shared Ownership homes are available, including Whittle Gardens, off Innsworth Lane and Alder Green in Alderton, with prices starting from £124,000 for a 40% share value (based on a full market value of £310,000).
Catherine Jarrett, director of sales and marketing at Bromford, said: “We understand there are many common misconceptions around Shared Ownership and that it could be a different prospect for those who have not taken advantage of the scheme.
“We’re here to answer all of your questions and give you everything you need to make an informed decision about what is an important step. Now more than ever, it’s important for first time buyers to understand the complexities of the housing market, and by sharing advice from industry experts we hope we can give Gloucestershire home seekers some clarity around Shared Ownership.”
