Buyer Events In Northants This Weekend

Posted 12 September 2023 by Keith Osborne

Bloor Homes hosts events for house-hunters at two developments near Northampton on Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 September...

Bloor Homes is hosting a two-day event at two of its current Northamptonshire developments on Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 September.

At Summers Grange in Wollaston, the event taking place is designed to help those looking to start their home buying journey for the very first time to find out what support could be available to them – financial and other help – through a plot-specific First Time Buyer package. Staff from Bloor Homes and independent financial adviser (IFA) The Mortgage Store will also be on hand on both days, between 10.00am and 5.00pm, for anyone wishing to explore any financial steps they may need to take as well.

Jack Costello, sales director at Bloor Homes’ South Midlands region, said: “We’re inviting anyone who wants to own their very own property for the first time to come along to our event. We understand it can be hard to save for a deposit required by mortgage lenders and that it can take time, especially if you’re renting and trying to save at the same time. We also understand it can be difficult to find a rental property in the first place, with monthly rental payments sometimes matching or outstripping how much a monthly mortgage payment would be.

“Our First Time Buyer package on selected plots at Summers Grange is designed to provide financial help where it is needed, and because everyone’s circumstances are different the package can be tailored too. It could include our Deposit Boost scheme or a contribution towards monthly payments for a period of time.”

Brand new two- and three-bedroom homes at Summers Grange start at £270,000 and there are a selected number of plots which will be ready to move into this autumn.

At Harlestone Park, the housebuilder is hosting a Help for Homebuyers event, designed to provide information and guidance to anyone looking for a new home within easy commutability of Northampton, but in particular first-time buyers moving from rented accommodation, or from parents’ homes, first-time homeowners who are looking to move to a second, larger property, or those who may be looking to sell to downsize to a low-maintenance, energy-efficient new home.

Staff from IFA The Mortgage Store will also be on hand on both days between 10.00am and 5.00pm for anyone wishing to explore any financial steps they may need to take.

Jack Costello said: “We appreciate that everyone’s circumstances are different and that researching the homes and next steps can be time consuming and for some, quite stressful. This event is designed to centralise all the information people need in one place, so they are equipped to make informed decisions about their next steps.

“We believe in arming people with the information they need so they can fully compare all their options. Our team will outline the process of buying a new home, as well as the mechanisms we have in place to support a move if buying for the first time or if there is an incumbent property to sell.

“For example, our Deposit Boost scheme is available on selected plots for those purchasing a home for the very first time and can help them get on the property ladder, while our Assisted Move programme can certainly help those who have yet to sell their property by speeding up the process and taking a lot of the pressure out of selling and moving home.”

With Deposit Boost, Bloor Homes will gift first-time buyers of selected plots a contribution towards the deposit, cutting the amount of time people need to save the deposit, freeing up funds and enabling them to move into their own home much, much faster. Assisted Move, also available on selected homes, sees Bloor Homes helping people sell their home, providing support by arranging valuations for an existing property, instructing a local estate agency who knows the area to market the incumbent property at a price agreed in advance, keep vendors updated on their sale, reduce or even remove any fees, and take as much the hard work out of the selling process as possible

Located just one mile from Northampton, Harlestone Park is in a semi-rural setting within reach of the busy city centre and all of its amenities. Bloor Homes currently has a limited number of new homes ready to move into this autumn, starting at £270,000 for a two-bedroom home.
