New Homes Launched At Finsbury Park’s Urban Oasis

Posted 23 May 2022 by Helen Christie

Berkeley has launched Amber Apartments at its urban oasis, Woodberry Down in Finsbury Park…

Berkeley has launched Amber Apartments at its landmark regeneration scheme Woodberry Down in Finsbury Park, North London.

Woodberry Down, an idyllic, waterside development, is perfect for those seeking a home surrounded by nature this spring; the new collection of homes comprises plush one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments and duplexes, and every resident will benefit from private outdoor space, easy access to the new 1.7-acre landscaped park which will be situated directly adjacent to the apartment building, as well as to Woodberry Down’s expansive semi-rural setting.

The development is a true city oasis, covering 64 acres in total of green space, parkland, waterside walkways and nature reserves. The west water reservoir provides an opportunity for watersports and sailing, while the east reservoir features a dedicated on-site nature reserve, Woodberry Wetlands, which spans just over 27 acres and is cared for by the London Wildlife Trust.

Woodberry Wetlands, just a short walk from Amber Apartments, is home to newly planted reed beds and new hedgerow, together with wildflower meadows and fruit trees, which attract birds, bees, butterflies and other insects. Species attracted to the wetlands include the great crested grebe, common tern, reed bunting, emperor dragonfly, speckled wood butterfly and different types of bats. Berkeley has also installed bat boxes for the six species of bat in the area and nest boxes for the black redstart, one of the UK’s rarest birds.

Brian McKenzie, managing director, Berkeley Homes (North East London) Ltd, comments: “Amber Apartments provide another opportunity for London buyers to call Woodberry Down home. This development is unparalleled in the proximity to nature it provides to city residents; it is a fantastic choice for those craving green spaces, fresh air and access to the natural environment, without giving up the benefits that come with living in the capital.”

Every apartment at Amber Apartments benefits from light and open-plan living spaces, a high specification, and sleek, contemporary interior design choices. Every property features a balcony or terrace, with residents enjoying views over the beautiful new park adjacent, the east reservoir or manicured grounds.

Duplex apartments offer a rare opportunity to buyers; situated on the seventh and eighth floors of the apartment building, each three-bedroom home is set across two storeys. The lower level comprises an elegant open-plan kitchen, dining and living room space leading out onto a terrace whilst the upper level features three spacious bedrooms, an en-suite shower room to the principal bedroom, and the main bathroom.

Residents of Amber Apartments will benefit from a forthcoming concierge service and screening room, whilst secure cycle storage and an audio/video door entry system provides added peace of mind. Electric car charging points are also available for residents.

The apartments are just a short walk away from local amenities for easy day-to-day living including cafés, restaurants, gyms and organic food store. Woodberry Down is a seven-minute walk from Manor House underground station, which is in Zone 2 on the Piccadilly Line, providing access to King’s Cross in eight minutes, Green Park in 15 minutes, Bank in 22 minutes and Knightsbridge in 23 minutes.

Trendy Stoke Newington is close by, offering a variety of shops, bars, cafes, pubs, restaurants and a Farmers’ Market. Nearby are Hackney’s contemporary art hub, the iconic Alexandra Palace and Hackney Empire, showcasing some of London’s most exciting events.

Prices at Amber Apartments start from £575,000 for a one-bedroom apartment.
