Berkeley has just launched Quinton Court, a collection of 60 apartments in sought-after Sevenoaks in Kent...

Berkeley Homes has launched Quinton Court in Sevenoaks, a boutique development which includes 60 one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments.

According to a recent Savills survey, many buyers are now turning to countryside locations in search of outdoor space and value, particularly for London buyers. As homebuyers’ priorities shift and lifestyle overtakes proximity to the office, research from the agent shows strong demand for towns which offer great connections into the capital but with all the benefits of more rural living. Sevenoaks is such a town in Kent, known for its green spaces, large selection of highly rated schools and excellent transport links.

Designed with a nod to the traditional architecture of Sevenoaks, the Quinton Court apartment building features a number of elements typical of Edwardian design, including a brick façade, slate roof tiles, lead dormers, bay windows, and gables, resulting in a look harmonious with the local area.

The new apartments have a high-quality specification with large, open-plan living areas and excellent-quality finishes. Kitchens are finished with Silestone quartz worktops, sleek undermount sinks and a range of Siemens appliances, including induction hob, single oven, combination microwave, built-in fridge-freezer, and integrated dishwasher. Primary bedrooms are equipped with fitted wardrobes, while bathrooms and en suites feature Villeroy & Boch fittings, a vanity unit and full-height illuminated mirror.

Quinton CourtThanks to their clever layout and spacious rooms, apartments at Quinton Court can easily accommodate a home office. With plenty of natural light and superfast fibre broadband connectivity, these homes provide buyers with the perfect environment for productive working.

The development has secure basement parking and a beautifully landscaped communal garden, as well as balconies.

This Kentish town has an impressive selection of shops, with a mix of independent boutiques and high-street brands including The White Stuff, M&S, Phase Eight and Gap. Its dining scene is varied, comprised of typical UK chains like Bill’s, Cote Brasserie and Wagamama, and independent eateries like Nonna Cappuccini’s and Hattusa, serving Turkish fusion cuisine with a contemporary twist.

Quinton Court’s residents will be able to take advantage of the weekly market with arts and crafts stalls, as well as food from local farmers, reflective of its strong community that those living in London often miss.

Sevenoaks has plenty of places to enjoy for lovers of nature, including Knole Park and House, Sevenoaks Wildlife Reserve and breath-taking Riverhill Himalayan Gardens. Bluewater shopping centre, meanwhile, is just over 20 minutes away by car.

This development is perfectly positioned for commuters, with Sevenoaks train station just a six-minute walk away. From there, residents can access Tunbridge Wells in only 20 mins, London Bridge in 22 minutes, Canary Wharf in 44 minutes, and Ashford in 46 minutes. There are also numerous bus services connecting Sevenoaks with neighbouring towns.

Mary O’Sullivan, sales and marketing director at Berkeley Eastern Counties, commented: “We have seen increasing interest from Londoners over the past couple of months, as people choose to relocate to places where they can lead a more well-balanced lifestyle. Quinton Court is ideal for those seeking a more relaxing setting while retaining the benefits of apartment living.

“The fact that Sevenoaks is an established town with a thriving high street, reputable schools, rich history, 1,000-acre Knole park and speedy journey to central London makes it an obvious choice for those looking for a compromise between rural and cosmopolitan living: Sevenoaks has firmly established itself among some of the most sought-after places to live in the South-East.”

Prices at Quinton Court start from £369,000.
