With the historic cathedral city of Winchester recently named Britain’s happiest place to live by savings guru Raisin, Berkeley Homes is launching Knights Quarter on Saturday 19 September, offering a collection of apartments, penthouses and houses set within a highly sought-after elevated position in the heart of the city.

Knights Quarter comprises over 200 one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments, penthouses and four- and five-bedroom townhouses, complete with a range of exclusive on-site amenities, including a concierge service, residents’ gym and landscaped gardens. Parking spaces or secure underground parking come as standard with every home.

The new two-bedroom show and view apartments offer fantastic examples of the stunning properties on offer, showcasing generous living spaces and the interiors specification.

Each apartment at Knights Quarter features a contemporary layout with open-plan kitchen/living/dining areas including French doors leading out onto a terrace or balcony. Master bedrooms come complete with an en suite bathroom and fitted wardrobes, with some benefitting from a dressing area or walk-in wardrobe. Second bedrooms also benefit from en suite bathrooms.

Knights QuarterPenthouses have the advantage of spacious balconies and large terrace areas, providing plenty of space for a sun lounger or dining table, with spectacular views of the surrounding countryside and nearby city centre. A variety of two- and three-bedroom apartments also benefit from a separate utility room providing the perfect storage solution for laundry and essential cleaning supplies, tucked away from the main living space.

Starting prices at Knights Quarter start from £315,000.

Giverny Simm, senior interior designer at Honky Interiors, remarked of the new show home: “Drawing inspiration from the historical beauty of Winchester and surrounding areas, we wanted to create a show home that is both luxurious and timeless, complementing the cosmopolitan lifestyle within Knights Quarter’s historic environment. We have achieved this through the combination of deep blue velvets and gold accents throughout, creating a luxurious and inviting interior appealing to both downsizers, families and first-time buyers, as well as elevating the considered finishes of the apartment itself.”

Knights QuarterBen Annetts, sales and marketing director at Berkeley Homes Southern, commented: “We’re delighted to be launching our newest collection of homes in a prime location in Britain’s happiest city. The attractive apartments at Knights Quarter are ideally located for those looking to enjoy life, being just a short walk from the excellent dining, leisure and transport amenities in the city centre, and within close proximity to the beautiful countryside in the South Downs National Park. We encourage all interested parties to make an appointment to visit the marketing suite to secure the home of their dreams.”

Knights Quarter is just a short walk to the train station (with a journey time of approximately one hour to London), as well as just a 10-minute walk from the excellent shopping, theatre and restaurants set along the cobbled streets of the city centre. There are frequent bus services within the area, as well as national bus services, and the M3, A34, A31, A3090 and A27 are all within easy reach.

Winchester is also home to one of the largest cathedrals in Europe, which hosts regular exhibitions and events for both residents and visitors to enjoy. For lovers of the outdoors, Winchester’s water meadows and St Catherine’s Hill are located close to Knights Quarter while the South Downs, New Forest, Southampton and the beaches of the South Coast are easily reached.
