Housebuilding Group To Host Help To Buy Event

Posted 29 July 2022 by Keith Osborne

Berkeley is hosting a Help to Buy event for a number of its current new homes developments from 11-13 August 2022...

Berkeley Group – a former WhatHouse? Housebuilder of the Year and current Best Large Housebuilder – is inviting first-time house-hunters to a special Help to Buy event in August.

The event takes place from Thursday 11 August to Saturday 13 August between 10.00am and 6.00pm at Hilton London Paddington, 146 Praed Street, London, W2 1EE.

It provides an opportunity to learn more about the homes available with Help to Buy and enjoy a one-to-one consultation with the sales team. There will also be a chance to get free professional advice from an independent financial advisor.

One of the developments with properties that qualify for Help to Buy is The Arches in Watford. It is being sold under one of Berkeley Group’s well-known brands, St William and is a collection of 92 contemporary suites, one- and two-bedroom apartments, each with its own private outdoor space in the form of a terrace or balcony. There’s also a landscaped garden for residents to enjoy, and the development comes with private parking. For public transport, it’s an eight-minute walk to Bushey rail station, which offers commuters frequent services to London Euston, taking just 19 minutes.

Prices here currently range from £303,000 to £530,000, and the sales & marketing suite and show homes can be visited between Monday and Saturday from 10.00am to 6.00pm, and Sundays and Bank Holidays from 10.00am 4.00pm. Find out more from St William.

‘The Hollyhock’‘The Hollyhock’ house type at Highcroft

House-hunters in Oxfordshire can also benefit from attending the event, with prices for new homes at the Highcroft development in Wallingford starting at £410,000, which is within the price threshold for the Help to Buy: Equity Loan scheme, which requires a 5% deposit and provides a 20% loan, meaning buyers need a mortgage of just 75% of the full purchase price.

Under the St Edward brand, Highcroft is delivering a range of two-, three- and four-bedroom property types which are inspired by traditional architecture but come with thoroughly modern interior design and specification.

There are just two properties here which are available to Help to Buy. A two-double-bedroom,one-bathroom semi-detached house called ‘The Hollyhock’ offers 775 sq ft of living space, living/dining room with French doors to the garden, a separate kitchen, a downsrairs WC, and is scheduled for completion in Q4 2022.

The major development also comes with green open spaces with nature trails, a dedicated children's play area, and young families can also make the most of a new on-site primary school. Within a short walk of Wallingford town centre, which is well served by shops and amenities, and it’s a short distance from Oxford and Reading. The development is open daily from 10.00am to 5.00pm.
