Public Space Appreciated By Buyers At Milton Keynes Site
WhatHouse? Award-winning national housebuilder Barratt Developments, which uses the Barratt Homes and David Wilson Homes brands, is celebrating National Playday by highlighting the importance of providing public open space and space to play at its Milton Keynes development, Fairfields.
The homebuilder is creating over 21.9 hectares of public open space at the Vespasian Way development, which is the equivalent of more than 30 of MK Dons’ football pitches.
Building open space, some of which includes play areas, is an important part of creating a community at Barratt and David Wilson Homes’ developments.
National Playday, taking place on Wednesday 4 August, is a celebration of children’s right to play, and highlights the importance of play in children’s lives.
Alison Raine, sales director at Barratt and David Wilson Homes Northampton, said: “Open spaces and play areas are incredibly important as they provide places for children, both new residents and from the existing community, to play in a safe space outside their homes. This means our developments become more than just bricks and mortar, but leave a lasting legacy for the future generations.
“We’re delighted that we can say we’re providing a significant amount of public open space at Fairfields, with both equipped play grounds and landscaped areas, for children on and around our developments.”
