Housebuilders Announce New Phase In Milton Keynes

Posted 18 May 2021 by Keith Osborne

Barratt Homes and David Wilson Homes will soon have even more new properties to choose from at Woburn Downs...

Sister brands Barratt Homes and David Wilson Homes have announced that a new phase of properties will be coming soon to the Woburn Downs development, six miles south-west of Milton Keynes.

It will be a second collection of properties at the Watling Street development and will bring a new range of two- to five-bedroom homes. These will be ideal for a range of house-hunters including first-time buyers, growing families and working professionals.

A recent home buying study by OneFamily, which takes into account a range of factors including average salary, rent, property prices, commuting costs and quality of life, named Milton Keynes fourth on their overall index and crowned the town the most cost-effective place to live.

Cristian Dumitru, a resident who moved in during the first phase of homes, said: “The location of the development felt so right to us. We wanted to be as close to Milton Keynes as possible, and we liked the development immediately. The transport links are great and there are plenty of amenities nearby such as a farm shop, supermarkets and take-aways.”

Woburn DownsAlison Raine, sales director at Barratt and David Wilson Homes Northampton, said: “We’re thrilled to be launching a new phase at Woburn Downs and welcoming homebuyers to this developing community.

“We saw a lot of interest during the development’s first phase, so we are urging house-hunters to book an appointment with our sales team.”

Residents of Woburn Downs will be able to take the short journey into the nearby, picturesque villages of Woburn and Woburn Sands where local cafés, restaurants and independent shops are available to explore. In addition to the walking and cycling routes of the surrounding countryside, the nearby safari park offers a great day out and Bletchley train station is located less than three miles away, for those looking to get into London.

Currently, Barratt Homes is selling two- to four-bedroom homes at Woburn Downs, priced from £257,995 to £469,995, while David Wilson Homes’ selection of three- and four-bedroom houses is priced between £347,995 to £569,995.
