Posted 26 January 2023 by Keith Osborne

House-hunters in Cambridgeshire will find a great variety of new homes for sale under £400,000 from Barratt Developments…

For house-hunters in Cambridgeshire, there’s a huge choice of brand new homes for sale at the moment across the county, and Barratt Developments is one of the most active housebuilders, and for buyers searching with a budget of £400,000, it has a host of property types currently available at a number of sites.

Barratt Developments – a former older of the prestigious title of WhatHouse? Housebuilder of the Year – sells through its two biggest brands, Barratt Homes and David Wilson Homes, building everything from contemporary apartments to tradition-inspired executive houses – and there are a great variety that will qualify for a buying budget of £400,000, and selected plots come with some very special offers worth thousands of pounds (all subject to terms and conditions).

Just outside the market town of Whittlesey, a few miles east of Peterborough, Whittlesey Lakeside has two- to four-bedroom houses for sale starting at £219,995. Among them is the ‘Radleigh’, a detached property starting just under our budget at £399,995. Plot 192 has a south-facing garden accessed from the spacious open-plan kitchen/dining/family room. Also downstairs are a lounge, a study and a utility room. Upstairs, all four bedrooms are comfortable doubles – bedroom one has an en suite shower room, the others share the family bathroom. Outside are the detached single garage and driveway for two cars. There’s currently an offer on this property – it comes with kitchen upgrades and flooring package worth over £8,000 and Barratt will pay £1,000 per month towards your mortgage for one year.
