Show Apartment Launched In Peacehaven

Posted 30 May 2023 by Keith Osborne

Barratt Homes has brought in BLOCC Interiors to create a striking show home at its Chalkers Rise development...

Property-seekers aspring to a brand new home in East Sussex can now visit the Chalkers Rise development in Peacehaven, where Barratt Homes has just unveiled a show apartment.

This two-bedroom home, designed by BLOCC Interiors, has been fitted and furnished to showcase a relaxed minimalist style, demonstrating how buyers can achieve a contemporary and high-quality look at an affordable entry-point price.

BLOCC Interiors’ creative sales director Suzanne Thomas and her team were tasked with creating a modern and welcoming design, using a colour palette that focuses on neutral tones and enhances the natural light entering through the large windows. The design uses simple shapes to highlight generously proportioned rooms, whilst splashes of burnt orange add a dynamic flair to the apartment.

Thomas commented: “Our aim was to create a space that inspires potential buyers so they can produce a similar look by purchasing items themselves. We utilised multiple feature walls, as they are an affordable and effective way for anyone to add instant impact into a space, focusing on orange in the show home because of its brightening characteristics, making the space feel warm, open and welcoming.

“To accompany the bright highlights, we chose to use a complementary palette of whites, greys, warm beiges and taupes to achieve a soft and warm minimalistic style. Across the bedrooms and socialising spaces, these colours induce a sense of calm and cohesion across the home.”

With the launch of a new show home, Barratt Homes is offering buyers a glimpse into their future life at Chalkers Rise.

Kimberley Benson, sales and marketing director for Barratt Southern Counties, added: “We appreciate many buyers may not have the extra budget to splash out on interior design so wanted our show home to demonstrate that modern, on trend finishes are achievable and do not have to cost the Earth. Suzanne and her team have brought the ‘quiet luxury’ trend to life here at Chalkers Rise and hope this gives some inspiration to our prospective buyers.”

Chalkers Rise is situated on the edge of the picturesque South Downs National Park, while the local beach is just under 1.5 miles away. In town, a range of amenities are on offer, including schools, local shops, and independent restaurants and cafes. The bustling city of Brighton is just 20 minutes away in the car. London remains within striking distance, just 70 minutes away by train from the nearby Lewes railway station.

The development also hosts multiple wildlife-friendly features, an RSPB gold-standard show garden that incorporates wildlife-friendly features such as bird boxes, inclusion of native plants and hibernacula. The site also has electric vehicle charging points on selected plots, low-energy lighting and water-saving measures to complement the wildlife initiatives taken.

The last two ‘The Loughton’ apartments remain at Barratt Southern Counties’ Chalkers Rise development in Peacehaven. The one-bedroom homes are ready to move in today and prices start from £220,995. Find out more from Barratt Homes.
