Natalie Perry, sales and marketing director for Barratt David Wilson Kent, commented: “Stamp Duty payments have long proved a challenge to homeownership for first-time buyers, and a significant hurdle for second steppers and downsizers looking to move along the ladder. The recent cuts to Stamp Duty will be a key in the door for many, potentially leading to thousands of pounds in savings during a time that many of us are having to tighten their belts.
“For this reason, alongside the drive for energy efficient homes as the energy crisis continues, we expect our homes across the county will remain popular – we’ve already had many local first time buyers enquiring about how much they can save following stamp duty cuts. We want to encourage anyone interested to register their interest online, or come down and speak to one of our fantastic sales advisors who can advise on the many schemes we have to support our customers - like Deposit Unlock and Part Exchange.”
