First Homes Go On Sale At Wingerworth Development

A new housing development in Wingerworth has officially launched, with Ashberry Homes releasing the first five homes for sale at Mill Fields, off Mill Lane.

There are now a sales office and show home at the site, which are available to visit strictly by appointment only, in line with coronavirus restrictions.

The 86-home development includes a range of three- and four-bedroom houses for private sale, as well as 12 affordable homes which will be made available to local people for rent or Shared Ownership. Homes currently available include a selection of detached and semi-detached houses, with prices starting from £200,000.

Ashberry Homes began building at Mill Fields in July last year, and with construction work progressing well, the development is expected to be completed in the next two years. The developer is also set to begin work on a new car park, for the use of visitors to Derbyshire Wildlife Trust’s neighbouring The Avenue Washlands nature reserve. A storage facility is also being constructed at the site to enable the Trust to store tools and equipment nearby.
