Helen ChristieKirkstall Place, developed by Artisan Real Estate, is located on the seven acre site of a former shopping park.
Kirkstall Place is a collection of two-, three- and four-bedroom townhouses and one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments. This first phase will see up to 85 of the scheme’s 263 units made immediately available for reservation.
Artisan Real Estate is an award-winning low carbon and sustainable developer, and the contemporary urban build of Kirkstall Place is fossil fuel-free, with the properties benefitting from dedicated work spaces, super-fast broadband and air source heat pumps.
James Bulmer, development director at Artisan Real Estate, comments: “This has been such an exciting development to be involved with, from the initial identification of Kirkstall’s potential through to using local tradespeople to help deliver the houses with the positive environmental impact we strive for. By using the very latest in thermal insulation and air tightness the properties should cost a third less to run than the average home. So new occupiers are not only making significant financial savings, but they are also helping the planet at the same time
“The varying size of accommodation on offer and the quality of the build, added to the blend of city and country living that the development provides, will hopefully appeal to a broad base of buyer. The city centre can be reached within minutes and there are plenty of open spaces, such as Kirkstall Abbey, nearby too. It also has good schools and amenities in close proximity and is on the doorstep of Headingley.”

Kirkstall Place is a two minute walk from Headingley train station and the new railway station at Kirkstall Forge provides trains that can take passengers into the city centre in under 10 minutes.
Kirkstall borders both Headingley and Horsforth, and is just 2.5 miles from Leeds city centre. The area was identified by Artisan Real Estate as one of the most up-and-coming suburbs in Leeds. Surrounded by themed and landscaped garden spaces that promote wildlife through sustainable drainage systems, the development also features pocket parks, communal seating areas, shared allotments and charging points for electric vehicles. Most homes will be provided with a dedicated car parking space either on-street or via secure undercroft parking which is accessed via electronic remote control and accessible to residents only.
The apartments at Kirkstall Place come with a guide price that start at £189,995 and houses from £304,995.
Completion for the site is expected in Summer 2023.
