Housebuilder Launches Show Homes At Two Lancashire Sites

Posted 16 April 2021 by Keith Osborne

Sites in Broughton and Barton have a range of show houses to demonstrate the potential of a brand new home...

Anwyl Homes is offering Lancashire house-hunters more opportunities to view inspirational show houses at two of its developments in the county.

On Saturday 17 April, potential buyers at Priory Gardens at Yew Tree Park in Burscough can not only book an appointment to see the three new homes there, there will also be a chance to “meet” the interior designers and discover the latest trends.

Homes at Priory Gardens have been selling off-plan since late last year, with buyers travelling to St Helens, Liverpool and Fulwood, all within a 30- to 40-minute drive of Burscough, to view finished examples of Anwyl’s homes.

Sales director Matthew Gould explained: “Buyers in Burscough have been eagerly awaiting the show homes at Priory Gardens and, to thank them for being so patient and understanding, we’re giving them a sneak preview virtually.

“We’ve filmed an exclusive interview with the interior designers who’ve styled the show homes, sharing their interior inspiration and how buyers can adapt the latest trends in their own homes. It’s a great way to whet customers’ appetites before they can come and view the properties for themselves.”

Anwyl has planning consent to build 267 new homes at Priory Gardens. The first phase features 87 homes, including a mix of three-bedroom semi-detached and detached designs and a selection of four-bedroom detached properties. The show homes are examples of the ‘Lymm’, ‘Ascot’ and ‘Henley’ four-bedroom house types.

Current prices at Priory Gardens start from £239,000 for a three-bedroom semi-detached ‘Epsom’ style property.

There’s even the chance for one lucky buyer to save thousands of pounds and make a summer move to a brand new home. A four-bedroom ‘Farndon’ is due to be build-complete by June, in time to enjoy the Stamp Duty holiday. Priced from £308,995, it would make a great family home with a generously sized, open-plan kitchen/dining area spanning the entire rear of the property and a spacious lounge to the front. French doors set within two large windows lead to the garden, opening up the outside to family life in full flow. Upstairs, there’s an en suite shower room to the main bedroom and the family bathroom serves the other three bedrooms.

Those who move to Priory Gardens will be able to enjoy living as part of a thriving community with shops, schools and services, including a sports and fitness centre, Tesco and Booths supermarkets nearby, plus the well-regarded local business, Taylors Farm Shop. It’s also a great base for commuting as the two local train stations offer links to Preston, Manchester, Ormskirk and Liverpool.

Lawrence GardensLawrence Gardens

Only last weekend, Anwyl Homes opened two show homes at Lawrence Gardens in Barton which showcase how important outdoor space has become to buyers.

Gould said: “As a result of life in lockdown there’s been a shift in people’s priorities when they’re looking to move and practical gardens have moved up their wish lists. In response to this we wanted to plant the seed for buyers at Lawrence Gardens as to how a garden can be an extension of the home.

“The show garden décor includes a wooden sleeper pathway leading to a pergola which can offer shade from the sun or perhaps shelter from the rain! And, as we can’t rely on the British weather, the access all areas film is the ideal solution to showcase the gardens to buyers in rain or shine.”

Other features of the show home gardens include bird and bat boxes, helping provide homes for nature and supporting the ecology of the site. Across the development there are small recesses in fences, known as “hedgehog highways”, to help wildlife roam freely.

The show homes are examples of the ‘Hartford’ and ‘Oakmere’ house types and are available to view by appointment only. The ‘Hartford’ features a lounge to the front, with open-plan kitchen and dining room, plus utility and cloakroom to the rear. In the ‘Oakmere’, the kitchen, dining and family room spans the entire width of the rear of the property. There’s also a dedicated study, perfect for regular or occasional working from home. In both properties French doors offer direct access from the dining area to the garden. Upstairs, they each have four bedrooms with an en suite to the main bedroom to complement the family bathroom.

The housebuilder will create an area of public open space at the heart of the Garstang Road development for residents to enjoy. Situated in a semi-rural location in the heart of Lancashire, with easy access to the nearby cities of Preston and Lancaster, Lawrence Gardens is also close to the historic market town of Garstang with its array of independent shops and eateries, as well as a Booths supermarket.

Lawrence Gardens offers 50 private sale properties in a choice of four-bedroom designs, with current prices from £294,995.
