Launch Of Luxury Ultra-Low Energy Homes In Prestbury

Posted 21 November 2023 by Keith Osborne

Altin Homes has offically launched Waterbank, an exclusive luxury development within the North West's Golden Triangle...

Altrincham-based Altin Homes has unveiled Waterbank its first development of ‘eco luxe’, ultra-low energy homes to the market in Prestbury.

‘Coppice’ is the first of a total six properties at the development, situated off Heybridge Lane within an historic woodland setting, and is now available for a guide price of £3million. The original designs for Waterbank were produced by Annabelle Tugby Architects and later revised by Calderpeel Architects and Barnes Walker landscape architects.

Features of the 2½-storey, five-bedroom homes include dual-aspect living spaces, primary and secondary kitchens, expansive master bedroom suites with walk-in dressing rooms, balconies, loggias and luxury ensuites. Two of the properties have outdoor swimming pools and all include substantial detached garages with separate entries to storage/workshop space and bathroom facilities. Full home automation is included with everything from air cooling to audio outputs enabled via smart technology.

Waterbank is also the first generation of Altin Homes properties to boast tri-brid heating systems. A trio of Vaillant aroTHERM air source heat pumps, Valliant gas boilers and solar panels combine to ensure these are among the most energy efficient, sustainable and smart luxury properties on the market.

The properties are estimated to cost just £150 per month in utility bills thanks to the intelligent tri-brid system which can select the most cost-efficient energy source based on real-time tariffs. Run on a gas boiler alone, the houses would cost £300/month in heating and hot water. A less-efficient property of the same square footage would typically cost upwards of £450/month.

Design director of Altin Homes, Yousef Mousavi, said: “These are the first eco luxe homes we have created and we are incredibly proud that we have integrated this tri-brid system without compromising on the architectural aesthetic. Homeowners here can personalise their energy costs and consumption to suit their lifestyles and values. Some buyers may wish to always use the system in the most energy-efficient way possibly while others may choose to focus on the cheapest tariffs or maintaining the home at a certain temperature. What was important to us was that homeowners have the autonomy to make intelligent decisions regarding their energy consumption and Waterbank allows that.

“Each property at Waterbank is unique and designed to appeal to buyers with an appreciation of both property innovation and the natural world. We are confident these are properties that owners will be proud to come home to and cannot wait to see them all occupied.”

Markus Jolley of estate agency Gascoigne Halman added: “Altin Homes' commitment to preserving the natural environment at Waterbank is incredible. Each of these properties has been carefully positioned beneath the tree canopy, creating stunning modern homes that complement the woodland setting.

“It is the most exclusive development currently on the market in Cheshire's Golden Triangle and one which showcases internal advances alongside incredible eco credentials. These properties are likely to attract buyers who are discreet regarding their wealth and conscious of investing in homes which reflect their environmental values.”

Two of the six properties at Waterbank were sold prior to construction with three nearing completion and ready for clients to personalise the internal finishes. The sixth property will be completed in 2024.
