Low-Carbon New Homes For Sale In Rumney

With the cost of energy rising, Allen & Harris estate agency is offering homebuyers in Cardiff the chance to reduce their energy bills with an ‘eco home’ at a sustainable development, called Aspen Grove, which is taking shape in suburb of Rumney.

Built by Cardiff Living, a development partnership between Cardiff Council and Wates Residential, new homes at Aspen Grove are designed with the latest energy saving technology, including:

• PV solar panels, which convert solar energy into electricity.
• Batteries to store electricity, which can be topped up from the grid during low cost/low carbon periods, or sell excess electricity back to the grid during high cost/high carbon periods.
• Sero BEE monitors, which track energy generation and consumption, and optimise distribution and usage around the home based on the residents’ lifestyle choices.
• Ground source heat pumps, which supply both central heating and hot water to the homes, and are also controlled by the Sero BEE monitors.
