Chobham Village Development Successfully Launched

Posted 13 October 2020 by Keith Osborne

A successful launch means only a few homes remain for sale at The Old School House in a desirable part of Surrey...

Recently launched by Blenheim Living, part of developer Aitch Group, there are just five of the 14 homes still available to buy or rent at Flexlands Place in Chobham, Surrey.

Located on Sandpit Hall Road, this is a gated development of two- and three-bedroom cottage-style houses which sits on the three-acre site of the former Flexlands School, which was an independent preparatory school that catered to hundreds of students within the local community, including former alumni Kate Beckinsale, before closing in 2017.

The two- and three-bedroom semi-detached homes at The Old School House start from £850,000 to purchase or £3,000 per month to rent and vary in size from 1,507 sq ft up to 1,625 sq ft. Each home offers a tastefully designed brickwork façade with carved stone entrance and a private driveway with parking.

Aitch Group has unveiled two show homes, one with two bedrooms and one with three bedrooms, both of which can be visited by appointment and subject to the latest social distancing and health and safety standards.

The three-bedroom show home named ‘Hazelwood’ provides 1,625 sq ft of space and is on sale for £995,000. The show home was designed by renowned interior design firm Alexander James who drew inspiration from the gated development’s leafy surroundings. The house has been designed with a pallet consisting of muted tones and highlights of deep greens and burnt oranges, creating a warm and cosy vibe. The two-bedroom show home, named ‘Hollywood’, provides 1,625 sq ft and is on sale for £925,000 and was designed by EMR Architecture.

The Old School House, Flexlands PlaceBoth the homes are split over two floors. Upon entering, residents benefit from an open plan living room and kitchen with floor to ceiling bi-folding glass doors offering access onto a private garden. The Hacker designed kitchen provides integrated appliances by Neff alongside a generous island and breakfast bar.

A carpeted staircase leads residents upstairs. In the two-bedroom show home, both the master bedroom and guest bedroom provide en suite bathrooms. The bedrooms provide character with eaves and large windows offering views onto the communal landscaped courtyard or the home’s private garden. The three-bedroom show home provides an extra guest bedroom; the two guest bedrooms share a guest bathroom. The bathrooms both provide baths and showers, and the en suite bathrooms provide a luxurious free-standing oval bathtub.

Chelsea Reynolds, director at Aitch Group, commented: “Residents benefit from shared amenities including landscaped grounds and a tennis court. It is therefore no surprise that nine of the 14 homes have already been sold, reserved or let and the sales interest we have received so far from both downsizers and professionals reveal they love the offering and location of Flexlands Place. We now look forward to welcoming potential purchasers to tour the two new show homes.”

The homes are available to purchase or rent via sales agents Savills and Seymours. Find out more at www.oldschoolhouse.co.uk.
