Affordable Homes For First-Time Buyers In Cheshunt

First-time buyers in Cheshunt are encouraged to register their interest in affordable homeownership opportunities at The Quadra Apartments as 50% of the first phase of homes have been reserved off-plan.

Local organisation, B3 at Home, has completed the first phase of 44 stylish one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments, with 22 homes still available for sale.

Potential buyers can apply for these homes via the Shared Ownership scheme where the buyer pays a mortgage for the share they own, which is usually a 50% share, and rent for the remainder. Owners can then gradually purchase more shares until they own their home outright.

Purchasers can also expect to enjoy lower energy bills as these brand new homes come with B-rated EPCs. They have been built to modern building standards for energy efficiency and offer electric car charging options.

John Hayden, director for development at B3 at Home, says: “With interest rates soaring and the cost of living starting to squeeze, lots of people are having to put dreams of owning their first home on hold. The Quadra Apartments are the first affordable homes for sale delivered by the major Cheshunt Lakeside redevelopment scheme being built by Inland Homes.

The new homes enjoy a sought-after location, situated within walking distance of Cheshunt station and Lee Valley Park.

Plans for the wider site include more than 1,700 new homes as well as pocket parks, a new primary school and other amenities. A new pedestrian footpath will run through the site, providing access to Cheshunt station for new residents and other local people.

A further 39 Shared Ownership homes are set to be delivered in early 2023.
