Retirement Development Buyer Events At Stockport Scheme

Adlington Retirement Living's new retirement community in Heaton Mersey, Stockport, will be hosting a series of coffee mornings for those interested in finding out more about retirement living.

The first coffee morning will take place on Wednesday 15 February at The Woodlands, on Woodlands Road, which offers 63 age-exclusive one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments.

Alexandra Johnson, sales and marketing director for Adlington Retirement Living, said: “Our coffee mornings provide a relaxed and informal opportunity to meet some of our homeowners and find out more about their experience of living in a retirement community. Anybody who would like to visit will be made very welcome and can enjoy a tour of The Woodlands with Charlotte or Claire from our friendly sales team, as well as complimentary tea, coffee and a selection of freshly baked biscuits and cakes.”

The retirement community offers new friendships, social occasions, and activities that homeowners can enjoy whenever the mood takes them. When they want to spend some quiet time in their own company, they own a self-contained apartment where they can relax. All apartments include fully fitted kitchens with integrated appliances and many feature en suite shower rooms as well as separate bathrooms. Bess, who moved to The Woodlands in June, said: “We all get on so well. I do quite a few of the activities here. I take part in keep fit twice a week. We have coffee mornings. We have card games. Some of my neighbours are learning to crochet and we're knitting squares to make into blankets to send to places that need them. I'm in the book club too. It's lovely.”

The communal facilities at The Woodlands include an open-plan coffee bar, which is the perfect spot to catch up with friends and neighbours, or to meet for pre-lunch drinks on the way to the restaurant. It also houses a bar so homeowners can enjoy a glass of wine or beer with friends in the evening. In addition to the coffee bar, restaurant and homeowners' lounge, the communal facilities at The Woodlands also include a hair salon, therapy suite and activities studio, as well as a guest suite with en suite for friends and family visiting overnight.

The 24-hour on-site support team provides homeowners with peace of mind and, if needed, optional personal care packages are available. In addition to this, there is a sophisticated emergency call system and a security video entry system to manage access.
