Location of the Day: Wandsworth/Putney
London is famous for its huge variety of districts and neighbourhoods, with many of them undergoing major regeneration in recent years to bring a thoroughly modern aspect to their traditional character. Wandsworth and its neighbour Putney are just two of them.
Situated alongside the River Thames to the south-west of the capital’s centre, both are in the London Borough of Wandsworth, which also includes ever-changing places like Clapham, Battersea and Tooting. MBNA Thames Clipper services from Wandsworth Riverside Quarter Pier take just 12 minutes to Chelsea Harbour, 24 minutes to Battersea Power Station and 43 minutes to Blackfriars.
