‘Online Bootcamp’ To Be Hosted By Housebuilder In Kent
Defeating the negatives of self-isolation through sharing online exercise classes is all the rage right now, and Barratt Homes will be offering members of the local community in Aylesham, Kent the opportunity to increase their fitness at home this April.
The free online ‘bootcamp’ classes will be accessible via a live stream, which can be accessed from a dedicated Facebook group starting on Saturday 4th April from 10.30am until 11.10am. The sessions will run for four consecutive weeks, with the last session taking place on Saturday 25th April. All sessions will be led by personal trainer Cressida The Real Bodies Coach (@therealbodiescoach on Instagram). During the sessions, Cressida will coach the group through a series of movements and workouts which can be done at home, with all participants able to access the exercises safely and feel challenged.
The sessions will be a fun mix of movements for the upper body, lower body and core, and all fitness levels are welcome to join. Participants should wear comfortable sports clothing and appropriate footwear. They should also make sure that they have enough room at home to take part in the session. Participants should sign up to Aylesham Community Fitness to join the live stream, and complete an online PARQ form to confirm they are safe to exercise.
Cressida will be sharing health and fitness advice on the group between sessions, and will also be uploading pre-recorded videos of the exercise sessions, so that members can to return to the workout after the session has ended.
Cressida comments: “I’m really excited for this class! What a fantastic way to become a part of an online community, and learn some home fitness tips at the same time. My training style focuses on real bodies (just see my social media profiles to see what kind of trainer I am!) and I highly encourage everyone, including beginners, to tune in, exercise, and have fun if nothing else!”
There are just 20 spaces available per session, though the groups are open for anyone looking to get fit from at home to join. Those interested in taking part can join the
Facebook group by following the link: www.facebook.com/groups/ayleshamcommunityfitness. Places will be offered on a first come, first served basis.
Natalie Perry, sales and marketing director for Barratt Kent, comments: “We are pleased to be able to offer an exciting free online boot camp activity this April for residents in Aylesham, and the wider community. As more people will be asked to stay indoors over the coming weeks, the fitness sessions are a great opportunity for members of the community to remain connected and stay fit and healthy from the comfort of their own homes.”
