Show home room by room - The Triangle, Crystal Palace
The boutique development from Hambridge Homes is made up of five two-and three-bedroom apartments and two two-bedroom duplex apartments. Ideal for professionals, commuters and first-time buyers, The Triangle is within walking distance of Gipsy Hill and West Norwood stations, both of which provide transport links to London Bridge and London Victoria.
The show home at The Triangle was designed by interior designer, Sylvia Callan. Sylvia says: “When I was asked to create a show home at The Triangle at Gipsy Road, I was really excited, it's such a lovely boutique development of just seven spacious apartments, each one being unique. We designed a neon installation in the communal lobby area, which was installed with the help of the builders on site, a real team effort. It looks amazing at dusk, fun neon lighting pops against the dark slate grey wall. Collecting your post has become a more interesting proposition!”

Terrace: “The terrace was the starting point for the interior design process. Featuring an outside cover, the terraces at The Triangle can be appreciated year-round via the full height glazed doors and windows. We decided to create a live vertical wall of plants, creating a striking focal point from both the terrace and the main living area of the show apartment. The terrace is decked with timber and is finished with a bright yellow bistro table and chairs.”
Living / Kitchen / Dining area: The living space features a dramatic blue wall, with paint by Farrow & Ball, which is the perfect background to the range of quirky and fun accessories and soft furnishings, to create an edgy urban vibe to the apartment. New, bespoke, handmade furniture sits alongside second hand iconic designer pieces such as the ‘Barcelona’ chair in the lounge area, which sits alongside the striking green sofa. We commissioned a fantastic faux zebra head from Jon & Katherine at 'Broken Hare' and personal painted tiles from Rory Dobner. It's really great to support London artists, and be able to introduce their unusual creations into our interiors.”
Master bedroom: “A large palm motif wallpaper from Italy, was scaled up to size to provide a strong backdrop to an eclectic mix of furniture, sumptuous velvet bedding and rich Timorous beastie cushions.”
Second bedroom: “The live wall is reiterated in the second bedroom, using Designer Guild Amazonie wallpaper. I absolutely love the electric blue flocked baboon side lamp from Abigail Ahearn, he makes me smile every time I see him."
Third bedroom / Study: "The home office / third bedroom was also treated to the bold Farrow &Ball Studio Green paint and a mix of old and new soft industrial furniture and unique retro accessories.”
Bathrooms: “Both Bathrooms have really cool urban grey tiles and huge mirrors, the interior design elements are again a riff from the 'live wall'.”
