The recent opening of the superb two-bedroom show home at Prime Place, Sevenoaks is the latest milestone in this outstanding development of luxury apartments close to Sevenoaks station.

An added bonus is the planned extension of the Oyster system to Sevenoaks station, making this a highly sought-after development for commuters and young professionals – something that Paul Dawson, design director at Honky, kept in mind when designing the show home.

Paul says: “We’ve used an eclectic mix of furnishings, fabrics, and furniture, some sourced from Scandinavia which is particularly evident in the wood selections.  This creates a softer, more sophisticated style while being cool and current but liveable - which will appeal to a wide range of buyers.  Though each room has its own identity, which is demonstrated through a particular colour palette, the natural oak and brass accents are used throughout, and helps to tie each room with the others.

“The proximity to London means we wanted to attract young couples and professionals, who are very brand-savvy and fashionable. To appeal to this market we designed a stylish and timeless show home that will remain ’in-the-moment’ and contemporary."

“The highlight of the show home is the living area. We’ve used peacock-blue velvet on the sofa, with accents of stronger blues and gold-featured wallpaper. The combination of colours creates a calm and tranquil ambience – perfect for relaxing after work. The accent colours are corals and pinks, which also feature on the dressing of the adjacent dining table.” Living room
“The kitchen and dining area, and the living area, share the same beautiful communal space. Although complementary to the living area, the kitchen and dining area has its own defined identity. Everything is raised from the floor, using the available vertical space and giving the room a nimble look. The washed stone colours we’ve used here extend into the two bedrooms.” Kitchen and dining area
“The show home at Prime Place has two large double bedrooms, giving us more space to showcase our designs. For the master bedroom, we’ve opted for a washed gold look, using brushed brass as the accent colour throughout, adding to the warmth that people seek in their bedrooms. You can see examples of this in the bedside and pendant lighting and the feature mirror over the bed.” Master bedroom
“Although you can see the similarities, we made sure we gave a distinct personality to each bedroom – they’re siblings, not twins. For the second bedroom, we used more delicate, matte colouring. There’s plaster-pink linen on the bed, making the room softer. The warm lighting of this room is complemented by the natural light let in by the floor-to-ceiling windows.” Second bedroom
“The design of the bathroom showcases the high specification of Prime Place apartments. Here we have a really nice interesting honed feature tile to the shower area. The smooth stone-effect ceramic, which runs throughout the development, gives the bathroom the character of a luxurious spa, so we’ve dressed it as such. Like the two bedrooms, the family bathroom is very spacious, allowing for personal touches.” Bathroom

The two-bedroom apartments at Prime Place, Sevenoaks start from £399,995 and will be ready for occupation early next year.
