Show Home Room By Room: Oak Mount, Hemyock

WhatHouse? Award-winning housebuilder Cavanna Homes has opened an energy-efficient show home to visitors and prospective buyers at its new community, Oak Mount in Hemyock.

Oak Mount is a new development of 40 three- and four-bedrooms homes each served by an air source heat pump which will provide a low carbon heating alternative to gas. The homes are set within the Blackdown Hills, Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and close to local amenities, primary and secondary schools.

The show home at Oak Mount has been expertly dressed by interior designers, Abode, who have taken their inspiration from Hemyock’s stunning, countryside surroundings.

“We created a hotel feel for the guest bedroom by using monochrome patterns in the fabrics, as well as a layered headboard. The magnified details of exotic leaves on the ‘Casamance Abale’ wallpaper are tactile and work with the grain to achieve a realistic feel of leaves too. This is a nice reminder of the natural beauty that’s right on the doorstep of Oak Mount.”

Children’s bedrooms
