The three-bedroom ‘Eveleigh’ show home has been completed at a new development in the Bedfordshire village of Shortstown, offering house-hunters an insight into the luxurious lifestyle available.

The show home stands within Linden Homes’ Falcons Lodge development, which is delivering a wide mix of properties ranging from one- to five-bedroom designs on the outskirts of Bedford.

The team at Edward Thomas Interiors has expertly styled the terraced ‘Eveleigh’ home to give potential purchasers an opportunity to imagine how a furnished new-build property can look like.

Andy Richardson, managing director at Edward Thomas Interiors, said: “The ‘Eveleigh’ is a contemporary three-bedroom home ideal for young or growing families. We’ve styled the show home with bold colours, patterns and accessories to reflect how a family might personalise the space and express their own tastes.

“The ground floor space has a charcoal grey base colour palette and injections of bright colour throughout. In both the kitchen/diner and lounge, we’ve used geometric wallpaper as a vibrant feature alongside statement mirrors and lighting.

“The kitchen/diner has a contemporary, concrete-effect dining table and grey velvet chairs whilst in the lounge, cosy fabric sofas, a low-level media unit and coffee tables make an inviting space for all the family.

“Upstairs, the master bedroom has a striking coral bed with fluted headboard, while bedroom two follows a cool teal and white design with a mirrored wardrobe and floating wall shelves. The final bedroom we’ve playfully styled to appeal to a tween girl, with neon cactus lighting and selfie-inspired wallpaper.

“The use of colour is echoed in the family bathroom, cloakroom and en-suite, where we’ve used feather-print wallpaper, dark green paint and bright accessories.

“The show home was actually conceptualised before the pandemic so has no dedicated working-from-home station, although with plenty of space in the lounge and guest bedrooms, this could easily be created.”

Living room

Falcons Lodge“Located at the rear of the property, the expansive living room features an abundance of soft textures, with cosy charcoal grey sofas and throw.

“The vivid red curtains and cushions inject vibrancy into the room, enhanced by the statement picture, industrial style lamp and geometric wallpaper.

“Just out of sight to the left are French doors leading out onto a lovely garden, allowing natural light to stream in throughout the day, and perfect to let in fresh air in the summer.”

Kitchen

Falcons Lodge“The Eveleigh enjoys a spacious kitchen, just to the right as you enter the property, which is both practical and family-friendly.

“The pristine white cabinets make for a sleek appearance and, together with the natural light flooding in from the window and the carefully positioned downlights, create a bright, airy space.”

Family/dining area

Falcons Lodge“The dining area, at the opposite end of the kitchen, is what we envision as the hub of the family home. It’s a really flexible space that could be styled for formal dining or with a sofa for a warmer and more sociable atmosphere.

“The feature wallpapered wall enhances the contemporary feel of the room, as well as contrasting the light wood-effect floor and grey velvet chairs.

“We’ve also added in house plants to bring greenery into the home as well as some statement pictures to show potential buyers how they can make their house a home with just a few small details.”

Master bedroom

Falcons Lodge“Upstairs, in the generously-sized master bedroom, we’ve again aimed for a vibrant, modern look through the geometric wallpaper and striking splashes of colour in the coral bed and teal curtains.

“The bedroom also features its own en-suite shower room, for that added touch of luxury and privacy.”

Bedroom two

Falcons Lodge“Bedroom two follows a cooler teal and white colour scheme, creating a soothing space to retreat to after a busy day.

“The soft cream carpet, velvet bed frame and large teal throw really tie together the cosy feel of the room.

“As well as the whitebedside cabinets, we’ve also fitted a mirrored wardrobe and floating wall shelves, both just out of sight, to demonstrate the ample space available for storage.”

Bedroom three

Falcons Lodge“From the playful cactus neon light fittings on the wall, to the ‘Selfie Queen’ pillow on the bed, bedroom three was styled to create a trendy space for a tween girl."

There is currently one ‘Eveleigh’ house type for sale at Falcons Lodge, priced from £315,000. Find out more at lindenhomes.co.uk.
