WhatHouse? takes a tour of the four-bedroom townhouse show home at The Assembly, a new development by Countryside in Hounslow, west London.

The Assembly is a 284-home development in Hounslow by mixed-tenure developer Countryside, comprising six mansion blocks of two- and three-bedroom apartments and four-bedroom townhouses. This contemporary development takes inspiration from the architecture of London’s past, when grand houses were built around squares.

Set over three floors, the four-bedroom townhouses boast a separate kitchen/dining area, living room and master bedroom which opens onto a private terrace. Residents benefit from an enhanced specification, private parking, a private enclosed garden and excellent transport links into the City. Buyers at The Assembly benefit from great transport links in both directions, with just a nine-minute walk to Hounslow East on the Piccadilly Line. This means you can be in the heart of central London in 30 minutes or Heathrow in under 15.

The AssemblyThe four-bedroom townhouses at The Assembly in Hounslow launched earlier this year and prices start from £699,995. Call Countryside on 020 3944 4689 or visit www.theassembly-hounslow.com

Felicity Stevens, director of Haus Interiors, takes us through some favourite rooms.

The AssemblyKitchen/dining area: In the kitchen and dining room we have chosen a rich emerald green feature paint colour which compliments the contemporary style kitchen and granite work tops. The dining chairs and hand painted abstract art work have been carefully made in order to bring introduce the terracotta/burnt orange tones which you will see throughout the property.

The AssemblyLiving room: This luxurious and cosy room offers a sophisticated space for just the parents or the whole family. We designed and crafted a bespoke media unit which has been made with white ceramic marble and LED lighting to add another layer to this room – it’s not only a space saving feature, but also offers a really beautiful focal point to the room. We have carefully chosen a tonal but textured wallpaper which balances out the bold burnt orange floor to ceiling curtains, and colourful cushions where you will again see the emerald green tones. This room boasts a large corner sofa which will fit the whole family, two foot stools for additional seating, and even a reading corner situated underneath the large windows - the perfect spot for reading in natural sunlight.

The AssemblyMaster bedroom: A master bedroom should be luxurious and memorable, and the feature wall in this room certainly ticks those boxes. The large, extra wide, feature headboard in a rich terracotta coloured fabric, and 3D wooden feature wall is brought to life by the cleverly installed LED lighting - creating shadows and additional interest to the lighting in this room. The touches of brushed gold and deep navy blues ground the design.

The AssemblyGuest bedroom: This bedroom has been designed with a guest in mind, ensuring that it is an inviting and calming room with ample amounts of storage. We designed and crafted a bespoke dressing table and wardrobe unit, with floor to ceiling mirrors, and a made-to-fit upholstered stool that tucks right underneath the dressing table. We have chosen a light grey textured leaf print wallpaper, and have balanced out its subtlety by introducing a rich green winged headboard.

The AssemblyThird bedroom: Designed for a young girl, this room was intended to be light and colourful, with a contemporary and scandi theme. A solid oak bed frame is styled with a colourful cushions, teddies and spotted bed linen. We have injected a bit of fun with the bright orange ceiling light, green shelving unit and bright orange art work.

The AssemblyFourth bedroom: This bedroom has been designed to work as a single bedroom as well as an office. This room boasts not only a single bed, but also a desk and chest of drawers. We have chosen a tonal back drop and introduced those lovely terracotta and green tones in to the furniture, accessories and art work.
