Linden Homes East Yorkshire has recently launched two new show homes at the 174-home Copperfields development in North Yorkshire.

The four-bedroom Brampton show home has recently been unveiled and was designed by Suzi Harding Interiors whose brief was to design a country style home.

Homes feature open-plan kitchens and dining rooms, galleried landings, spacious family areas and stunning landscaped gardens.

Copperfields offers a range of two-, three- and four-bedroom homes suitable for first time buyers, young professionals, families and those looking to downsize.

The homes are being built on the site of the Malton Showground, making it the perfect location for commuters as the town has its own bus and train stations and historic York is around 18 miles away to the south-west along the A64 and the picturesque seaside town of Scarborough is less than half an hour in the opposite direction.

Malton boasts an excellent selection of shops, including the Malton Cookery School and there are numerous cafes and restaurants to enjoy a spot of lunch, afternoon tea or dinner.

Suzi Harding and her team designed the new four-bedroom show home, the Brampton and WhatHouse? spoke to her to find out more about some of the unusual features it boasts.

“As designers, OCD is definitely a plus, as nothing else but the right thing will do. There are no compromises in our work and this gives us a polished end result. Our first objective was to find an exciting new colour way to set us apart from our previous designs.

“The team and myself are always looking for new inspiration. It is great to get creative and bounce ideas between ourselves to achieve a really unique design. We found this new sage which is a subtle homely tone and we envisage that it will be the new grey."

After deciding upon a country theme, the designers took inspiration for this bedroom for fishing, one of the most popular outdoor country pursuits. Suzi sys: "It is authentic right down to the vintage fishing tackle."

The living room has a slightly different style to other rooms but comfort is the overriding aim. Suzi says: “For the living room we used painted furniture against a Sage backdrop and a wall montage of vintage plates. Soft furnishings are paramount to creating a lived in look."

The type of funiture used for the kitchen/family room helps add to the authenticity of the design. Suzi says: “The kitchen/family room used reclaimed furniture and we further accessorized using country style."

Continuing the country life slant, the study has a botany theme. Suzi says: "Another favourite has got to be the study which is reminiscent of a botanist’s study. We love the attention to detail shown by the collection of prints and finds in our glass topped desk.”
