Show Home Room By Room: Boorley Garden, Hampshire
Miller Homes Southern has opened the doors to its latest three-bedroom show home at its Boorley Gardens neighbourhood in Hampshire.
Located off Winchester Road, Boorley Gardens from the WhatHouse? Award-winning housebuilder is set in the sought after location of Boorley Green and features a selection of stunning one- to four-bedroom homes.
Boorley Gardens' charming new show home, which is the popular “Downshire” house type, has been brought to life by the interior designers at Artspace Interiors, who have chosen a vibrant colour palette
Kate Letteriello, managing director at Artspace Interiors, discusses the creative process behind the new show home and shares her tips for recreating these looks in your own home…
Lounge

Kate says: “The living room has a vibrant and fun scheme with a bright colour palette in varying tones of blues and pinks. The cobalt blue is really on trend for 2023, we are loving it! In the living room we have chosen a wallpaper mural that ties in all the colours of the colour palette, and from there we have picked out the individual colours to balance them out in the rest of the room. For example, you’ll see we’ve used the blush pink in the sofa and the cobalt blue and fuchsia in the mural.”
Kitchen and dining area

Kate continues: “To the rear of the home is a large, open-plan kitchen and dining room defined by clean lines and tonal kitchen units. French doors open up the space, leading out onto the landscaped rear garden. There is ample space for a bar area in this space, we have zoned this area to help it feel like its own separate space with a paint band effect in charcoal. This effect is easy to recreate in your own home using any contrasting colour to the main wall colour.”

Principal bedroom

Kate says: “Continuing the bright colour palette from the ground floor, the principal bedroom has a boutique hotel feel, with bold wallpaper accents as well as a striking headboard. When choosing a bold colour palette such as this, introducing natural textures, such as wood and rattan, can help to ground the space, by adding depth and balancing the tones.”
Children’s bedroom

Kate explains the inspiration behind this playful children's bedroom: “This bedroom has a construction theme, perfect for little ones who are interested in diggers! The crane wall stickers are an easy but temporary way to create a unique space that is just bursting with personality. We’ve included lots of storage in this room including shelves at different heights to display books and toys, which are a great way to keep items off the floor and keep things nice and tidy!”
Children’s bedroom

Kate adds: “A fun and lively space, this bedroom includes a fun animal-themed wallpaper which echoes the wider colour palette used throughout the showhome of warm blush pinks and blues. This playful decor creates a room that is perfect for pre-teens going into senior school. If you’re worried about using a bold wallpaper, then a feature wall is a great way to introduce a pattern, without it being too overbearing.”
The second show home at Miller Homes Southern’s Boorley Gardens development will be opening on 25 March.
