WhatHouse? takes a tour of the luxury duplex show apartment at Royal Arsenal Riverside from Berkeley Homes...

We head to south-east London to tour the Berkeley Homes show apartment at Waterfront II, Royal Arsenal Riverside.

This premium property provides 1,072 sq ft set over two floors, with two spacious bedrooms and three bathrooms. It has river views and the luxury of two private balconies.

This home is short walk from the Thames Clipper pier and Crossrail station and is available fully furnished with specially curated and unique interior design, maximising space, functionality and design.

It is available to move into immediately, from £950,000. Premium apartments at Waterfront start at £899,990.

Royal Arsenal RiversideLiving area: The chic, spacious living area was influenced by its impressive waterside location, creating a seamless transition between the exterior architectural style and the simple but elegant interior spaces. The open-plan layout maintains the impressive River Thames vistas, with simple, monolithic forms and textured materials to maximise space and natural light. A natural and warm colour palette of greens and metals were used in the living area to reflect the peace and tranquillity of the river views and adjacent Maribor Park. The palette flows throughout the whole space from the green and bronze walls to furniture pieces with brass accents and decorative accessories.

Unique geometric pieces were selected for the space to attract the younger target market including a bold side table, monochrome rug, and cool selection of cushions. A perfect dinner party space was also created with the added bench to the dining and spacing behind the breakfast bar.

Royal Arsenal RiversideKitchen: The kitchen area is contemporary, blending light tiles and textured wood finishes with highly reflective surfaces, creating the perfect combination of form and function. The sleek composite stone worktops have tile splashback and a mirrored strip, while a breakfast bar provides a great place to socialise while cooking. Tan leather barstools were selected to complement the natural finish of the kitchen.

Royal Arsenal RiversideBedroom 1: Upstairs are the two bedrooms. The larger bedroom is designed in line with the waterfront inspiration, with muted colour palettes and light-filled space creating a harmonious place to relax. The master bedroom has a fitted wardrobe with mirrored doors and a matt-lacquer timber veneer feature, while an en suite bathroom has luxurious finishes and contrasting textures and lighting. The colour palette of the living room flows through to the master bedroom with the addition of a bold monochrome wallpaper and cushions adding a more luxe feel. A contemporary dressing table with a bespoke geometric pouf was used in the space, really adding a grown-up feel to the space.

Royal Arsenal RiversideBedroom 2: The large second double bedroom also has an en suite bathroom with thoughtful layouts and sumptuous carpeting providing an inviting space. A bold colour palette of navy and orange was used for this space providing a fresh and vibrant look perfect for a second bedroom. Eye-catching wallpaper with an industrial mirror really makes this room memorable.

Royal Arsenal RiversideBalconies: Both floors of the premium apartment contain large balconies with decking and glass balustrade, providing stunning panoramic river views further east along the River Thames or towards Canary Wharf and central London. The Thames Path passes below giving buyers the opportunity to walk or cycle to work or enjoy exercise along the river, while the Thames Clipper pier provides an open-air form of transport along the Thames. Luxurious on-trend rattan outdoor furniture was selected so that the space can be used to make the most of the amazing views.
