Helen ChristieThis country chic show home at Evergreen Manor delivers the wow factor as soon as you set foot in the front door. Greens adorn this beautiful five-bedroom Harford show home; deep emeralds, light sage and soft jade tones bring a fresh and subtle colour scheme that welcomes the outside in.
Set to launch on Saturday 29 January, the Harford show home is designed to inspire buyers by showcasing the many ways in which you can decorate and furnish your Miller Home. Interior designer Eileen Kesson has curated this elegant home to inspire visitors, and it’s nothing short of showstopping.
Eileen says: “This show home is a breath of fresh air, providing a warm and welcoming ambience for those who have the pleasure to come and visit. Designers and brands across the country have been planning for 2022 trends, and this show home embodies quite a few that seem to be growing amongst homeowners, including ‘all things green’ and the ever-popular rattan trend.
“We’ve done something quite different here by covering almost all of the walls in wallpaper. This is something we haven’t done before, but I really see it as a popular trend into 2022. It is quite amazing to see the different ways of bringing textures, tranquillity and warmth into each room through gentle patterns and neutral palettes.”
As soon as you enter the home, you are met with the most delicate and intricate geometric wallpaper across the hall and staircase that adds texture and neutral tones to the walkway. To the right of the hallway, you’ll find the striking lounge, which will take you away on an African adventure. This space is styled with linen blinds that beautifully frame the feature bay window. Impactful art, contemporary lights, a giraffe-effect marbled coffee table and zebra print cushions on the woven chaise longue chairs all bring the theme together to create a luxurious feel.
In keeping with the ‘all things green’ trend, designer Eileen has elevated the kitchen family dining area to a very tranquil and bright hub of the home. Bursting with natural light, the crisp white kitchen units provide the perfect setting for the striking basil-green velvet effect wallpaper across the entire wall to reflect the garden and bring the outside in. Here buyers can enjoy a sleek integrated kitchen that features a top of the range cooker, AEG induction hob, ever-popular wine cooler and everything else you’d expect to see in this five-star home. The rustic outdoor theme is continued through to the family area of this room, seeing the highly popular and Livingetc award-winning Lights & Lamps Ardini rattan lamp nestled on the contemporary black side tables, which tastefully match the charcoal coffee table.
Bold green wallpaper brings the laundry room to life, adding a quirky and playful injection of colour and personality to this convenient space.
Continuing the leafy theme upstairs, the principal bedroom offers a zen ambience through textured fabric wallpaper in two tones: grass green and oatmeal. The grass green wallpaper continues through into the en-suite, providing a nice contrast against the white marbled wall tiles. This is the perfect space to unwind after a long day and enter your very own botanical terrarium.
Bedrooms two, three and four are excellent spaces for a family of all shapes and sizes to grow into. An en-suite in bedroom two and a family bathroom allows for privacy, and the soft furnishings across each room brings the home together in harmony.
Bedroom five has been dressed as a calming at-home office and study space, showing just how versatile the Harford can be. The subtle vertical copper lines in the textured twill grey wallpaper provides a relaxing and elegant mood to the room, making it the perfect place to power through team meetings, read a book or just have some downtime listening to your favourite podcast.
Evergreen Manor offers a leafy and green surrounding with easy access to Glasgow city centre within a 35-minute drive and Newton Mearns, only 20-minutes away. Families will be spoilt for choice with the West Coast on buyers’ doorsteps and plenty of activities a stone’s throw to keep the kids busy. There are great coastal walks in the nearby town of Troon, while Morris Equestrian Centre is ideal for keen riders, and Dean Castle Country Park makes for a great day out.
