Keith OsborneDavid Wilson Homes has teamed up with Artspace Interior Design and Edward Thomas Interiors to share the inspiration behind the new show homes at the housebuilder’s Thorpebury in the Limes development in Leicester.
Located off Barkbythorpe Road, near Thurmaston Shopping Centre, the community has a selection of three- and four-bedroom homes available to buy, with prices starting from £358,995.
David Wilson Homes has opened the doors to three fully furnished and decorated show homes at the development for property seekers to take a tour of and envision what the inside of their new home could look like. These are the four-bedroom ‘Kirkdale’, three-bedroom ‘Kennett’, and the five-bedroom ‘Henley’ style homes.
Rachael Harrison, sales director at David Wilson Homes East Midlands, said: “Each of our properties at David Wilson Homes are built to the highest standards using top quality materials. We like to take just as much pride in the interior designs as we do to our exteriors, and the new show homes at Thorpebury in the Limes are no exception.”
Kate Letteriello, managing director at Artspace, and Andy Richardson, managing director at Edward Thomas Interiors, have shared the details on why the three carefully crafted homes at Thorpebury in the Limes are the perfect choice for those looking to make a move this summer.
Interior of the ‘Henley’ show home
The ‘Henley’
This spacious property includes a large lounge, with French doors out to the garden, as well as a there's also a modern kitchen-diner, complete with a breakfast bar and five bedrooms.
Kate Letteriello said: “This was an opulent design with wooden furniture, textured and velvet fabrics with accents of black throughout to add depth. Rich mocha and latte tones create atmospheric, warm and moody spaces mixed with light bright areas for contrast.”
She added: “The whole property came together so well, our favourite feature was the bespoke Cockapoo painting in the kitchen/family area. Coming home to this cheeky pup would certainly put a smile on your face. The glamourous dining room with the statement glass pendant, spanning the length of the table makes it the ideal space to entertain or bring the family together.
Interior of the ‘Kennett’ show home
The ‘Kennett’
The ‘Kennett’ is a well-proportioned, three-bedroom townhouse complete with three double bedrooms, one of which has an en suite.
Kate Letteriello said: “We wanted this plot to appeal to first time buyers and second steppers, so followed a classic contemporary scheme, designed in mixed shades of ochre, forest green, rust and tan. The base of warm whites kept the scheme feeling fresh with accents of brass and black to add interest. Textured wallpapers and fabrics together with the wood furniture added warmth to this design.”
Kate explained: “Bedroom three has an underwater whale theme, brought to life with a bespoke mural. This magical room was inspired by The Unexpected Visitor children’s book. Our favourite feature has to be the wall-to-wall dual work from home space, designed within a clever paint effect making it an ideal place for work or home study.”
Interior of the ‘Kirkdale’ show home
The ‘Kirkdale’
The ‘Kirkdale’ is a spacious and airy, four-bedroom property with four double bedrooms, as well as a bay-fronted lounge, a handy utility room and an open-plan kitchen with French doors that lead to the garden.
Andy Richardson said: “This design has an elegant simplicity at first glance; it’s supposed to appear welcoming and quite informal, almost rustic, but has been styled with detail that adds warmth and wellbeing. The Kirkdale’s colour palette is deliberately natural and earthy, so features forest green, cream and clay alongside a range of sustainable materials such as wood, linen and pure cotton.
“To further reinforce the outdoor connections, don’t miss some of the attention to detail in the styling such as botanical print artwork and decorative candles with pebble cairn bases.”
“Some of our favourite features are the bespoke, oversized velvet sofas in the living room; wildflower feature wall in the older child’s bedroom; the elaborate hanging bedside lights in the main and guest bedrooms; and the matching sideboard and coffee table in the kitchen/dining/family room which are made from reclaimed wood.”
