Local Themes To Show Home Children’s Rooms In Rugby

Keith OsborneThe interior design of a show house at WhatHouse? Award-winning Barratt Homes’ development in Rugby is offering buyers in Warwickshire a taste of the local area.
Elborough Place on Ashlawn Road has three show homes for visitors to peruse, but the ‘Lamberton’ style contains features that highlight the benefits of the local area, while showcasing the season’s latest design trends.
The concept was put together by Birmingham based designers Blocc Interiors, and the children’s bedrooms were made to be seen with decor inspired by the Rugby area.
Suzanne Thomas, creative sales director at Blocc Interiors, said: “We have linked the children’s rooms to the local area. One room can be linked to the local rugby club, while another has been designed with a local alpaca farm in mind. Having the development so close meant that they were the perfect themes to incorporate.”
Young children will be thrilled by the décor in the ‘Lamberton’’s alpaca themed bedroom, with eyes drawn to a feature wall dedicated to the South American mammals. There is also artwork and accessories with colours and patterns inspired by the woolly animal’s homeland.
The love for alpacas isn’t confined to the bedroom, as residents can travel a short distance away to TOFT studios in Dunchurch, a craft shop and alpaca farm that serves as inspiration for the ‘Lamberton’.
On the flipside, sports enthusiasts can score a try in the rugby themed bedroom inspired by the town’s namesake. Featuring an impressive stadium mural that dominates a wall, the bedroom’s décor is influenced by local rugby club, the Rugby Lions. The team’s primary colour is red, and visitors can expect to see plenty of it in the bedroom’s interior.
Tanya Silk, sales director at Barratt Homes West Midlands, said: “The attention to detail in the show homes are second to none and Blocc have done a fantastic job of showcasing what the local area has to offer. For those interested, I would encourage to book an appointment with our friendly sales advisers who will answer any questions that you may have.”
The development is proving popular and has gathered a lot of interest as it located near an ‘Outstanding’-rated school. For residents who enjoy the town centre, the high street is only a short distance away with shops, cafés and restaurants. Rugby town centre is an easy drive away, and the historic town of Warwick within reach. There are direct trains to London and Birmingham via Rugby, and commuter links via the M45, M1 and M6.
This development is open on an appointment-only basis, with prices starting from £279,995. Find out more about Elborough Place from Barratt Homes.
