Set on the edge of the Medway town of Rainham in Kent, Otterham Park is an exciting new development with a range of two, three and four-bedroom homes. There`s a choice of designs to suit you, whether you`re a young professional, first-time buyer, investor, have a growing family, or are looking to downsize.

With easy access to Rochester, Maidstone, and Faversham, this is a central location in northeast Kent. Rainham is just off the M2 motorway which provides an all-important link to the Dartford Tunnel and the M25. To make life easier if you need to commute to London, your new home will be within walking distance of the train station. Direct train services from Rainham to London Victoria and London St Pancras take about an hour. When it`s time to relax, the Riverside Country Park, Halstow Creek, and the Medway Estuary provide an ideal change of scenery.

Shopping

Living at Otterham Park means you'll have easy access to everything you need for daily life. There's a selection of shops on the high street and a local store just a few minutes' walk from Otterham Park. For larger grocery shops you'll find a Sainsbury's and Morrisons in Sittingbourne. There is a good variety of shops in the neighbouring towns of Sittingbourne and Maidstone, including the Fremlin Walk Shopping Centre and the Mall at Maidstone. For the ultimate shopping experience visit Bluewater Shopping Centre, a 40 minute drive from Otterham Park.

Transport

Ideal for commuting, Rainham has its own train station which is within walking distance of Otterham Park (0.8 miles). The station offers direct services to London Victoria and London St Pancras in approximately one hour.

Leisure

Rochester Castle, the Historic Dockyard at Chatham and Fort Amherst provide interesting and fun days out for all the family. Even closer to home, The Splashes leisure pool in Rainham is just 1.7 miles from Otterham Park and offers an indoor fun pool with a wave machine and flume, as well as swimming lessons and a gym. Nearby sporting attractions include Soar trampoline park, Planet ice skating, Upchurch River Valley golf course, Jordans snooker & pool club, Rainham skate park, Play Football Gillingham, Rainham Cricket club, Rainham recreation grounds and Priestfield football stadium. Located on the edge of the North Downs, Rainham is a popular place to live. It has a local community centre located at The Oast which runs weekly clubs and fitness classes, as well as evening entertainment such as live bands and a range of other seasonal events. The Kent Beer & Music Festival is also held in the town.

WhatHouse? Location Ratings

Working with data experts CLSQ, we assess the latest information from highly respected sources to give every current new homes development we list a rating under five core topics Health & Wellbeing, Transport Links, Tech connectivity, Finance and Education & Amenities.

CLSQ provide trusted data, technology and data-led insurance services which empower automation and decision-with-certainty for the UK property sector. We combine the certainty of data and process with the unique security provided by our de-risking solutions and insurance."
 Health and Wellbeing
3.7
Since the outbreak of Covid in 2020, the health and quality of life for ourselves and our families has become more of a priority than ever, and one of the fundamental considerations in choosing where we live. There are a host of ingredients in measuring this, and we calculate our Health & Wellbeing rating using many factors.
 Transport Links
4.4
Being within easy reach of people and places for work or leisure is a top consideration when choosing your brand new home. Can you commute easily by private or public transport, and are there routes to close by for the places you’ll want to go to? Would it be safe to leave the car at home and cycle somewhere instead? Are there convenient EV charging points in the local area?
 Finance
3.2
Finances are the fundamental thing on which our choice of new home is based, but aside from what you can afford to borrow and the price cap you must consider, there’s the ongoing running costs to consider too, and what may happen to the value of your home before you sell it in the future.
 Education and Amenities
4.1
Education and Amenities covers things which are vital to everyday life, whether it’s somewhere to buy groceries and other essentials, a place to enjoy leisure time and for families, an area with schooling which is easy to get to from home
