Home Of The Day – ‘The Woodley’, Graven Hill

Posted 16 January 2024 by Keith Osborne

‘The Woodley’ is a contemporary three-bedroom house type available at a landmark development in Bicester, Oxfordshire…

Always looking out for notable new homes in current developments across the country, the WhatHouse.com team has come across one of many contemporary-design homes being built at the major Graven Hill scheme on the southern outskirts of Bicester.

‘The Woodley’ on Plot 335 is a three-bedroom detached house with electric vehicle charging and parking for two cars, ideal for families and young professionals. It’s a very energy-efficient new home with a Vent Axia Mechanical Ventilation Heat Recovery (MVHR) system and Mitsubishi air source heat pump, which together will lead to energy bills significantly lower than older, more traditional homes.

At the front of this design is a welcoming kitchen/dining/family room. This is fitted with a number of appliances as standard: oven, hob, extractor fan, integrated fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washer/dryer. There’s plenty of storage and workspace, including a breakfast bar. At the rear of the house, past the cloakroom and handy storage cupboard, is a living room with large bifold doors to the garden. Two of the three bedrooms upstairs are doubles, with an en suite to bedroom one. The third room could make a perfect home office. A family bathroom with tub and walk-in shower complete the first floor layout.

In all, there’s a generous 1,344 sq ft of living space, and the property is priced from £520,000.

There are many house types for sale at Graven Hill, which is a new Garden Town in one of Oxfordshire’s best-served towns. These new homes are within easy reach of the town centre and the popular Bicester Village Outlet Centre, and it’s around 14 miles to even further choice at Oxford. This new district will comprise many home types, from apartments to large detached houses, and there’s a significant amount of self-build and custom build homes which buyers can personalise too. All residents can enjoy the setting of open green spaces including woodlands, allotments and a network of cycle and footpaths.

Transport links from here are also excellent, being just three miles to the M40 and Bicester Village railway station, which offers regular services to and from London Marylebone (around 70 minutes) and Oxford (around 15 minutes).
