The WhatHouse? team reports on our current favourite new home for sale – today, we pick the ‘Fenton’ house type at The Heathers in Dunfermline from Barratt Homes

Buyers looking to set up home in the Kingdom of Fife for Christmas will find a wide selection of three- and four-bedroom homes at The Heathers. Among them is the four-bedroom ‘Fenton’ on Plot 54, available for £237,995, a detached family home now available with Part Exchange and £6,300 worth of extras. Or if you don’t have a home to sell, the housebuilder will contribute towards your LBTT.

The ‘Fenton’ has a kitchen that is a perfect space for entertaining as its open-plan design includes a dining area and access to the back garden. The ground floor also offers a separate utility room and WC. Upstairs comprises four double bedrooms, with the master bedroom offering an en suite, and a family bathroom for all to share.

Homes currently for sale at The Heathers start at £199,995 – just within the threshold of the Help to Buy Scotland equity loan initiative.

Anne Ross, sales director for Barratt David Wilson Homes East Scotland, said: “It’s not too late to move into a new home in time for Christmas, however house-hunters need to act fast as there are a limited number of plots left. The properties available are in sought after, family friendly locations and benefit from extra incentives including Part Exchange – so they are sure to be in demand!”

The ‘Fenton’ is also available at Merlin Gardens in East Kilbride and at Countesswells in Aberdeen, and will soon be available at The Limes in Edinburgh.
