First Homes Reserved At Corbridge Development
The first homes at a new housing development in Corbridge have now been reserved, with construction progressing well on site.
Bellway is building 58 homes at Stanegate Manor, off Cow Lane, with 48 properties for private sale and 10 provided as affordable housing for local people. Stanegate Manor will comprise a mix of two-bedroom bungalows and three- and four-bedroom houses and is part of a wider 181-home neighbourhood taking shape on the northern edge of Corbridge.
A four-bedroom ‘Acacia’ show home is due to be completed at the development in June, while the first residents are due to move into their new homes in August.
Emma Chesterton, head of sales for Bellway North East, said: “We have received a lot of interest at Stanegate Manor from home-hunters in Corbridge and nearby Hexham who want to stay in the local area. Corbridge is a historic and charming village on the banks of the River Tyne, with a fascinating Roman heritage and a thriving community feel today.
“With just 48 homes on the private market here, we’re anticipating these properties will sell out very quickly, as demand for new housing has been high in the region.
“Located within walking distance of the village’s choice of independent shops and places to eat, and only two miles from Corbridge train station, the development is appealing to families, first-time buyers and commuting professionals.
“Residents can enjoy the best of both worlds, near the picturesque Northumbrian countryside, whilst also having easy access to Newcastle city centre, just 18 miles away.”
There’s a selection of three- and four-bedroom houses at Stanegate Manor currently available to buy, with prices starting from £329,995.
