Successful Launch Weekend In Wickham

Posted 29 April 2022 by Helen Christie

Bewley Homes has successful opening weekend as Bishop’s Gardens launched in Wickham…

Bewley Homes has launched its latest much anticipated development in Wickham, Hampshire, opening a stunning ‘Curridge’ four-bedroom show home to prospective buyers. The award-winning housebuilder had a successful weekend with eight homes now reserved.

The Curridge offers buyers the opportunity to look around and see the quality of the build and design of interiors etc designer kitchen, open plan living

Bishop’s Gardens is just a stone’s throw from the historic market village of Wickham and has boasts a stunning collection of 72 two-, three- and four-bedroom homes set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Within walking distance of the centre, the beautifully crafted Bewley homes retain more traditional treatments to provide an attractive street scene that will form the corner stone of the development.

Bewley says Bishop Garden’s is a fitting name for the new development as the 14th Century Bishop of Winchester was born in Wickham. William of Wykeham, which was also spelled Wickham, was the founder of Winchester College and New College, Oxford – but he also had a background in construction.

It’s an ideal opportunity for prospective buyers to reserve their first home ready for first occupations in the summer and to take advantage of the Bewley Homes’ part exchange and Bewley Bond schemes which are detailed on our website and make moving just that little bit easier.

Alison Neasom, who was the first buyer to reserve at Bishop’s Gardens, says: “I’ve reserved a three bedroom home and couldn’t be happier. The quality of the build and interiors are top rate. I can’t wait to move into my new home in the summer. It’s all very exciting.”

With eight homes now reserved, Elaine Stratford, sales and marketing director at Bewley Homes says it demonstrates the demand for quality new homes in the area. Elaine says: “We have had a great launch to Bishop’s Garden and there is strong interest from first-time buyers, downsizers, second steppers and families due to the range of homes we are building.”

Elaine adds: “Each time we launch a new development I always ask myself, ‘Would I live here and why?’ Having opened the show home at Bishop Gardens and seen the buyers reaction to what we have built in Wickham, the answer was a clear ‘yes’. The area feels rural and is really well located for going to the coast and general commuting. The village has an historic and elegant feel about to it. We recommend interested buyers get in touch to arrange a viewing to avoid being disappointed later.”

The market village offers something different for modern living, with independent shops, coffee shops, restaurants, bars and picturesque water meadows all within walking distance. The square is lined with historic buildings and is a designated conservation area. Walkers, cyclists and horse riders can enjoy the Meon Valley Trail with stunning scenery along a disused railway line.
