Keith OsborneBellway launched the next phase of homes at its Bartley Square development in Hook, with 26 apartments within Beaulieu Place going on on sale there.
This is the third of four apartment buildings being built at Bartley Square, a development that will eventually comprise 102 apartments on land off Station Road, around half-a-mile south of the town centre.
All 23 apartments at Ashurst Court, the first phase of the scheme, have now been sold, while just four of the 19 homes in Chawton Court, the second apartment building, are still available to buy.
Greg Allsop, sales and marketing director for Bellway, said: “Demand has been consistently high since we launched Bartley Square, with all but four of the homes across the first two phases already sold. The range of one- and two-bedroom apartments are well-suited to first-time buyers, and a large proportion of purchasers have been people using the using the Help to Buy scheme to get onto the property ladder.
“First-time buyers are also able to take advantage of having to pay no Stamp Duty on many of the apartments available up to £300,000.
“The rural location has proved to be a major attraction for those looking to escape the big cities in search of a slower pace of life, particularly since the first lockdown, and the excellent transport links makes the development ideal for commuters. Bartley Square is within half-a-mile of both the M3 and Hook railway station, which offers direct services to London in just over an hour. Each apartment also comes with gated underground car parking and this has been a big draw for many first-time buyers.
“Local shops in Hook are a short walk from Bartley Square, while there is a wider range of amenities in Basingstoke town centre, a 10-minute drive away.”
Prices currently range from £222,500 to £310,000 for one- and two-bedroom apartments at Bartley Square. All apartments come with allocated underground parking and lifts are available in all apartment buildings.
The government’s Help to Buy scheme enables first-time buyers to secure a new home with just a 5% deposit and 75% mortgage. The remaining 20% is provided as an equity loan, which is interest free for the first five years.
The sales office at Bartley Square is open Thursday to Monday from 10.00am until 5.00pm, strictly by appointment only for the safety of staff and visitors.
