Something For Everyone At Knights Park

Posted 13 October 2020 by Keith Osborne

A real variety of buyers found the home they wanted at Barratt Homes’ Knights Park development in Watton, Norfolk...

Located on Lancaster Avenue in Watton, Norfolk, the Barratt Homes’ development Knights Park proved to be a sought-after community since its launch in July 2017, offering something for everyone.

A growing family, Florentina, Dan and Matei Nedelea, secured their first home using the government-backed Help to Buy scheme at the development.

Florentina said: “The community at Knights Park is vibrant and friendly. There’s a very peaceful atmosphere and I couldn't ask for better neighbours. The staff members really helped us to understand all the steps and procedures in buying a house, one of the most important steps in our family’s life.”

Knights Park was a hotspot for first-time buyers leaping onto the property ladder and, whilst accommodating the needs of families, has also given young couples more room to grow.

Such homebuyers include Erica Hall and Adam Davies, both of whom were living with their parents before securing their first home together using Help to Buy.

Erica commented: “We loved the area which has beautiful scenery, shops and countryside walks nearby. It’s really easy for us to get to surrounding areas as there are such great transport links around here. Buying a new build property meant that we could move into our first home faster and it was completely brand new so we could really make it our own.”

The countryside location of the community struck a chord with many property seekers, particularly those who are looking ahead to a peaceful retirement.

Terry and Eileen Smith are a prime example of this and upsized to make use of a spare room for when their grandchildren visit.

Eileen said: “The location of Knights Park was ideal for us, as we can enjoy our retirement in a small town in rural Norfolk. Despite upsizing, the house is still easily manageable which is exactly what we were looking for.”

Knights Park is now sold out but Barratt Homes has one- to five-bedroom homes available at numerous current developments across the East of England.
