Tailor-Made Homes For Nottinghamshire Dressmaker

A home at William Davis Homes’ Prince’s Place has become the perfect fit for a Nottinghamshire dressmaker showcasing her sewing skills.

Gill Cottle’s new address in Radcliffe on Trent is tailor-made for creating wonderful clothes, with plenty of room for a purpose-built dressmaker’s studio.

After moving into the spacious three-bedroom Dee, Gill set about creating lovely curtains for her new home.

Gill continues: “My studio is a lovely space for working with different types of materials. It’s light and bright and I can look out onto my lovely garden too. I’ve sewn all my life and I love working with my hands. When I was a teenager, I made all my own clothes. I like being creative and I’ve made many bespoke items, including a lovely ladies coat for a wedding and a gentleman’s suit.”

As well as creating new items, Gill also carries out alterations and has her own website to showcase her work. She also set-up a Facebook group for residents at Prince’s Place and has made many new friends, especially while walking her dog, Bertie.

Gill moved to Radcliffe on Trent from Watlington in Oxfordshire, to be close to one of her sons and his family. She visited several developments and chose William Davis Homes because of the company’s reputation for quality and the impressive lay-out of the homes at Prince’s Place.

Gill adds: “I chose a new build property because I want to keep my household bills down, as well as having somewhere that’s low maintenance and doesn’t need work doing on it.
