Family Find Their Forever Home In Newcastle

Posted 13 February 2023 by Keith Osborne

A family have found their perfect forever home at Taylor Wimpey’s West Heath development at Newcastle Great Park...

After living elsewhere at Newcastle Great Park for six years Andrew Richardson-Brown and his family were ready for a fresh start in a brand new home.

With a growing family, Andrew knew that more space for his children was top priority when looking for a new home. He said: “When we decided to move, we knew we wanted to stay at Newcastle Great Park. We’ve been here for over six years now and it feels like home, we just knew we needed more space and a home more suited to family-friendly living, which is when we started looking at Taylor Wimpey homes.”

Torn between the ‘Troon’ and ‘Portrush’ house types, Andrew and his family eventually decided on the five-bedroom ‘Portrush’. “We really loved both the ‘Troon’ and ‘Portrush’ homes, but in the end the ‘Portrush’ won us over. We love the family feel the home has, especially with the ground floor layout. We love the kitchen-diner snug, the grand entrance hall with central staircase and the separate family dining room, it gives us all plenty of room while being functional too. The size of our home also meant that we have a generous size plot, giving the kids plenty of space to run around!”

When asked about his experience with Taylor Wimpey, Andrew describes it as “effortless”: “The whole process of buying with Taylor Wimpey was very easy, from the moment we walked into the sales office through to completion, it was effortless. The sales executives were very friendly, accommodating and they went out of their way to keep us updated, even through the uncertain times of the pandemic. Even after our completion and move-in, the whole Taylor Wimpey team still provides a high level of service.”

After just over 12 months of living in their brand-new home, Andrew and his family couldn’t imagine being anywhere else: “There is so much we love about our home. The kids have so much space, and can either cause chaos in their playroom, or the garden, while we’re able to enjoy our spacious living room while taking in views of the garden. It really is the perfect home for us and we feel like we’ve been here forever!”
